Such a underrated fight. When this came out we didnt know how strong Buu was PLUS vegeta had that sick ass form so it was so iconic and the way he made his sacrifice. Shittttt made me hit a new PR

Vegeta got robbed out of another kill bc of BS regeneration....first it was cell... Vegetas final flash had cell sweating...then this BS with Fat Buu ..Vegeta blew a hole in fat Buus stomach...didn't work .. Then Vegeta turns himself into a nuke...that SHOULD'VE worked...but Toriyama hated Vegeta...

@thediaz07 I've always thought that Vegetas sacrifice should've been what killed off Fat Buu and caused Evil Skinny Buu to emerge from the ashes later on in the day when everyone else already cleared the battle field thinking it was all over. Fat Buu should've came back good and pure during the Kid Buu fight as a shock and a surprise.

You guys are buggin'. Vegeta knocked goku unconscious for no real reason, just to have the spotlight. He may have cared for trunks and bulma in the end, BUT his actions here are why buu lasted as long as he did.

Also, could be that since Goten saw him hit Trunks in the head, he would of been more on guard & expecting a hit to the head too. So to catch Goten off guard he went with a body shot

Basically if he had trained at half the intensity of Goku or Vegeta he would have easily been stronger than Buu and probably have given Beerus a satisfying fight. Basically when they were Gohan's age they would have been wiped out by Guldo yet at that age Gohan was far stronger than a tyrannical super emperor.

I was hoping somebody in the comments mention the fact that Piccolo said when he dyes his body will cease to exist because he did bad things. And then explain to me the mini Arc that happened right before buu. In which cell Frieza and The Ginyu Force still have their bodies. And don't get me started on the cars being able to send Goku's energy while at Super Saiyan 3 on Earth. Implying that they're in the same universe.

I just realized when gohan was small piccolo wanted him to fight against an enemy that was stronger than him (nappa) and scolded him when he didnt react to save his friends. Goten was willing to help trunks to save vegeta and piccolo wanted to stop him from trying. Its kind of wholesome

I love this in isolation. But it is made meaningless by subsequent events. Dragonballs plus buu not actually dying. So neither opponent has significant long term ramifications. Vegeta should have won this fight with that sacrifice and been trapped in hell for a long time. Would have made the sacrifice a lot more meaningful.

Buu played also against goku ssj3 like this would finish goku also draining him to dead vegeta as majin was almost so strong as goku ssj3 he was disapointed at the ssj3 against kid buu vegeta never used this transformation after he discovered the weaknes of the ki drain like the ssj1 grade 3 that trunks used waist transformation the ssj3
