Major fire on Oceanside Pier

FLAMES ARE EVERYWHERE!! Outside of Rubys and INSIDE of Rubys!! That WHOLE section of the Pier looks DESTROYED sadly!!

PLEASE SAVE OUR PIER!!! There is a MASSIVE FIRE INSIDE Rubys!! It looks like Rubys is GONE sadly! The small building next to Rubys is GONE too sadly!!! I PRAY they can SAVE OUR PIER!!!

The only way to confine a wooden pier fire is to start removing the horizontal planks with rolling pry bars... Chain saws can't handle the creosote / tar that covers the planking from weathering...

Sad! Longest wooden pier on the west coast of the US. I used it as a marker while swimming. So sad!
