I'm a Paulie fan when he breaks down boxing but there are some holes in this. 1. Tank Davis does parade around with fake belts. How many times have we heard he is a "3 division champion." 2. Devin won a fake belt to be the mandatory for Loma then Loma petitioned for the franchise champion. And Devin was upgraded to the WBC champ like what is he supposed to do not accept the real belt? ( when you petition for a fake belt and drop a real one from a mandatory that is a duck). 3. If Loma wins (won't be an easy fight btw) I fully expect Devin to win and 10-2 him stick him with his jab and control him.

Dude is a liar and can’t possibly believe what he’s saying. Loma was made Franchise about 3 months before Lopez vs Commey. Easiest explanation is that Top Rank didn’t want to risk belt to DAZN. Unwilling to take that risk, they ducked Haney. Loma waited a year to fight Lopez, could have easily defended his belt in that time. Hell, didn’t Canelo fight 4 times in a year.

Bro, Paulie's "receipts"aren't valid. Let me help you. 1. He's trying to manipulate the time line. The first article he brought up was AFTER Teo beat Loma and was trying to justify calling Teo undisputed. Fyi: I can pull articles where Mauricio said Devin WAS the WBC champion. 2. Even with the snippet of Suleiman and Bill, here's the issue. In Oct when Loma petitioned for the franchise designation it could not be won or lost in the ring. They also had no mandatories because it was a DESIGNATION and not a world title. (Mauricio referred to it as a designation several times). What Bill.was saying was fact. When became franchise Devin had no recourse to fight Loma. It could not be mandated by the WBC so Loma would never have to face Devin. As for the voluntary defense in Nov. they had to petition for that to have that fight before Devin had to face HIS mandatory. That had nothing to do with Loma. Neither did the injury. Injured or not since Loma had no mandatory for the WBC even if Devin was healthy Loma would not have been forced to fight Devin. See the difference between fact and narrative?

3 mins into the video and already Paulie is wrong. That comment came after the convention. Also if you noticed at the bottom it states Teo is the lightweight champion, so the article was probably trying to justify Teo, being undisputed. Nevermind that the WBC's website had Devin listed as the WBC champion and the interim champion and franchise designation below him. Plain and simple all Paulie has to do is read the WBC franchise rules when Loma petitioned for it in Oct. of 2019. The designation allowed a fighter to move up and down to any weight class and become mandatory to the champion in that division above anyone else. It could not be won or lost in the ring. That is much different for WBA super champion. Come on Paulie do better.

It's not political ducking. Watch the vid instead of commenting on a vid you didn't listen to. Teo and Loma was the biggest fight the lightweight division had to offer and Haney was nowhere near the amount of relevance or had anywhere near the amount of accolades those guys had. So boxing isn't gonna skip out on a superfight being made in any weight class just to make a few d*ckriders of a much less deserving fighter happy. This isn't difficult to understand.

Undisputed > mandatory always, all these belts are what's killing the sport. If the mandatories don't like it, they should all fight each others for the number 1 contender spot. Lomachenko didn't "duck" some 20 year old nobody knew to go fight Lopez for the real Undisputed title. This is a bullshit narrative that Haney should've never pushed. It was the easiest way to get credit for being a champ without actually fight any one of note, of course he accomplished a lot later, but I don't agree with the narrative that Lomachenko avoided them.

I really would like for Paulie to truly research and show everything Sulimon has said. It depends on what day of the week and who’s interviewing him. Loma was the man but the WBC president also have several other interviews out there that saying the complete opposite. Not sure why Paulie didn’t show those interviews. I saw that interview a long time ago and if you don’t understand the context of what Bill was saying I would understand how you would come to that conclusion. It’s really a mute point now because Devin is the champion and I really pray that him and Loma fight. Real fans just want to see the fight. All this talking back and forth doesn’t prove anything. Maybe Paulie should bring one of the guys who is reporting and showing video of the total opposite of what Paulie is saying on his show so they can debate all the facts. It would be interesting. They haven’t lied. loma petitioned and was awarded franchise status. That allowed him to fight the IBF champ instead of his mandatory, which was Devin. Whatever happened i think we can all agree than right now Haney is in a better position (has all the titles, more experienced) and Lomachenko is in a worse position (no titles, older on top of being much smaller, not much activity etc). Let's see if the fight happens. Haney right now has a better chance than 2-3 years ago and he can prove if he is that guy. If he wins fairly (without clinching and all these new age "veteran tactics" like elbows and low blows) and without help from the judges, by landing CLEAN PUNCHES, props to him and his "blk superiority".

Kam lost his footing and charge forward quite a few times where Devin literally had to catch that man stumbling forward into him. Half of those clinches weren’t his fault. The first fight yea, but that’s boxing.

I agree with your take paulie on haney. Do note that Lopez openly ducked haney and admitted so on camera. I do think loma SHOULD beat haney, but I do think haney beats Lopez and lopez knew this. Lopez beat loma partially because they were actually training for him FOR YEARS and often (I feel) you can beat a fighter who is actually better than you if you have done substantially more homework. I also feel Loma has shown to be sometimes a bit lazy and arrogant and his losses are directly due to a NON mayweather way of thinking, in that in the pro game intangibles that can have you lose even if the better boxer.

The fight against Lomachenko is the only one that makes sense if Devin stayed at 135 since both are with top rank and Lomachenko is definitely next in line. I agree with Paulie that it would be surprising for Haney to take that fight next because he'd want to have some hometown defenses first to build his name and to make money before such a risky fight but Haney can prove us all wrong, only time will tell. I also agree that Lomachenko certainly didn't run away from a 20 year old Haney who nobody ever heard of back in 2019 and he took the undisputed fight against Lopez which should always have a higher priority than some mandatory. If anybody is to blame for the franchise situation it's the WBC.
