I feel like the two best options are mothra and anguirius, Mechagodzilla would make it feel super goofy because of the time period

I had my idea for a sequel that’s inspired by both Godzilla Raids Again and The Return of Godzilla. It’s the 1980s and Akiko is now a mother trying to move past her father’s legacy of defeating Godzilla. Everything changes when Godzilla returns and he’s not alone as another monster called Anguirus challenges him for the throne. Now Akiko most go the down the same path Koichi made to protect her family.

I think Biollante is perfect to keep up the same deeper message based storyline. Godzilla is the impact of the atomic age, biollante an example greedy consumption and industrialization. I’m sure it won’t happen tho lol

The Kaiju that I want to see up here in minus 1 sequel is Anguirus he doesn't have that many appearances in movies the last time he appeared in a movie was in Godzilla final Wars so it will be really interesting and nice to see him returning into the franchise And since the first movie was practically a remake of the 1954 movie it makes sense to have sequel to be the remake of Godzilla Raids Again

Honestly I hope that they save Godzilla's return and that they give a few movies to a few other characters first Then Godzilla's reintroduction to this universe would be a huge event due to the fact that he would still most definitely be a villain

It can be assumed that the G-cells aided Noriko's healing, given her likely severe injuries. If she were to transform into a Godzilla-like hybrid, one would expect her appearance to have changed; however, she still looks like herself. This suggests that the G-cells possess regenerative capabilities.

Anguirus deserves some love, been a long minute, Ultima might've been one but not where a bunch of people can get into seeing him. I wonder what themes would be connected to Anguirus, Godzilla is the unstoppable, inevitable, atomic destruction that plagues japan, but also a danger that we can't afford. Also, would this take place fairly recent after the previous events, or we're heading to an even more developed world of Minus One? Idea: Maybe Anguirus could be an experiment made by man, with how playing god in creating new weapons through Godzilla remains, using them to create their own monster so countries don't mess with them (could be different country or Japan again), they make Anguirus. Since man doesn't know when to draw the line, they've created their own doomsday, now Godzilla is thrust into this monster battle it didn't ask to be in. They both end up mysteriously dead thanks to humans coming up with a plan to take them both out, but goji is still alive for a potential final third movie?

It would be cool to have something like anguirus and rodan fighting off Godzilla in a set up to something like GMK. I love Mechagodzilla, ghidorah, and Mothra, but I feel like they make their reappearance. Every couple of years or so. I’m sure whatever the team will do will be great, but there’s such a variety of great monsters to choose from, changing things up a bit would be nice.

ANGURIUS is the perfect monster for him to fight due to him being not used since final wars and being a fan favourite plus the main reason is raids again being the sequel to 54 and -1 being a remaining of that, -1 sequel should have ANGURIUS plus his fire snout would look cool in -1 effects and his spiked back

I feel like it has to be a random kaiju from back then that no one really remember and stuff I would say Titanosaurus or Ebirah or Angus king guidora or mechagodzilla

My vote is Anquirus, they could have a mix between it being spiritual successor to Godzilla raids again but have be like GMK with Godzilla as the villain going up against a heroic Anguirus defending humanity.

It would definitelly be a good choice to have anguirus in the next movie. Not only has he not been on the big screen ever since godzilla final wars, but I think that he would also be a good choice because if godzilla minus one is almost a remake of 1954 godzilla, why shouldn't the sequel be the remake of godzilla raids again?

Why not Gigan and or Gigan Rex where mecha fights them to.lead into the return of Godzilla that was pressummed dead in minus one. That Mecha Godzilla and Godzilla in the fight that we all have been wanting to see in the movies. But thats my thought for an ultimate movie being we have seen a fan based movie of Godzilla vs Gigans and Gigan Rex concept. My theory would be that from Minus One that Japan went and made a Mecha incase that from the Atom bomb test that there just might be more than just Godzilla or another out there that they needed an ultimate protection and never thought an Alien monster(Gigan and Gigan Rex ) would ever existed till one or more appear attacking. Japan is forced to reveal its new protection to face the Alien threat. As of course Mecha defeats the threat sending them in retreat back to space little does the country know Godzilla is back with suttle appearances mostly on the islands in the Pacific but Japan believes to be rumors and then he appears. And again Japan uses mecha in the fight both take on damage to where what was thought retreated back to space appear again. Ultimately the country needs both mecha and Godzilla to defeat the Gigans cause Rex makes the appearance and is more dangerous than the Gigans alone. That this is where at the end of minus one the healing power on ones neck can be the piwer of her to use her thoughts to control Godzilla that he needs to battle along side Mecha to defeat the Gigans and Gigan Rex cause neither Godzilla or Mecha can just by themselves while battling each other at same time. Which they do but leaves Mecha badly damaged and Godzilla destroys Mecha. Then before heading back to sea leaves Tokyo and the ports destroyed to remind he hasn't forgotten what happened to him last time that hes still their ultimate foe as feared. The Mecha Godzilla concept i definitely would do a whole new look than the appearances it had from Tohos concept and from Lendary had in Godzilla vs Kong. But i would tie in Monarch that there are more than one Godzilla out there being both Toho brought in tbe Heisi era mentioned of Hollow Earth to Legendary in tbe Monster verse uses with Toho there are or could be more and others. But even though i doubt would be a concept to tie in both as the ultimate series of movies in terms from both studios would be a great idea in a whole new concept and both studios could tie in the movies together and eventually lead to a ultimate movie to give a very true fan based movie of questions that now answered, theories and speculations of basically Toho doing the past to present day in terms and Legendary to present day and looking back to the past just like Legacy of Monarch's mini series on Apple TV is doing. That studios could Ultimately do a couple movies or a 2 part or 4 part joint meaning pt 1 filmed by Toho and pt2 from Legendary studios. Far fetched would ever happen but would be very big knod to the legacy of the Godzilla movies.

Mechagodzilla wont fit with time period and tone established in Minus One. I dont want Godzilla to be an anti hero in the next movie either, I him to still be the atagonist even if another monster is introduced. I would consider Angiurus, and do a better version of Godzilla Raids Again where both monsters pose a threat to humanity, but keep Godzilla the main focus. I dont want a mutated Noriko monster hybrid that would turn me off the sequel pretty quick. I know some people were intrigued by the idea of humanoid Godzilla people in Shin Godzilla's teased sequel, that would mabye work for that movie, I dont like that concept for a Godzilla Minus One sequel.
