Major Hurricane Impacts are Imminent...

Major hurricane impacts are imminent for Florida. A life-threatening storm surge will accompany soon-to-be Hurricane Idalia. Idalia is now a strengthening tropical storm. It will cause flooding and landslides in Western Cuba before moving into the Gulf of Mexico tonight.
From there, Hurricane Idalia will head toward the Big Bend/West Coast area of Florida. It could make landfall near Tampa or up to Cedar Key on Wednesday morning. It will be a major hurricane at that point. Preps are ongoing!

Hurricane Franklin is a major hurricane! It will get close to Bermuda on Wednesday. Tropical Storm Watches are up for Bermuda. Franklin will stay south of Eastern Canada.
A strong tropical wave will bring rain to St. Lucia, Barbados, Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago, on Tuesday.
Please be safe! Please pay close attention to evacuation order. The surge will be intense with Hurricane Idalia.

Just after 3 thos morning I was awakened by some serious thunder and flashes of lightning which I hadn't experienced in quite a while in Jamaica. Sitting here in key west, my house is two feet above sea level. We underestimated Ian last year and flooded badly. Hoping Idalia will not hit hard. Will keep saying this...this is by far the most informative and straightforward weather channel. This man kept me safe last year during Fiona, as I was able to make my preps with plenty of time to be safe. My mother lives in New Jersey, and would call me every time one of the local news centers would claim that another major hurricane was going to make landfall in Puerto Rico. I starting sending her Brian's videos to quell her. Now she only watches this channel! So...I suppose Brian has saved me twice!!!! Abrazos!
