Major & Minor Deities in Tibetan Buddhism

The distinction between major and minor deities is both subjective, relying on personal choice, and technical, based upon the Four Tantra Classifications and complexity. Major and minor can also relate to the depth and breadth of the supporting literature. Deities can also be described as of greater importance and lesser importance, such as primary and secondary deities. The topic can also be described as minor deities that are important or less important-unimportant and major deities that are important or less important-unimportant.

can i request some discussion of what the elements are that contribute to the Quality or value of a thangka and which categories of people would value some elements of value above others. for example, a collector or seller may be most interested in authenticity, age Provenience, and desirability whine an amateur may want something that is "pretty" and an artist or art historian may value the correctness of the iconography and the correct drawing of anatomical proportions. as well as the overall aesthetics of color design and composition. im often surprised at what collectors see as "a good" beautiful painting when i can spot so many literal deficiencies in it. however it doesn't seem to affect the value much.. dealers and auctioneers aren't considering these fine points?

What are the origins of the Tibetan Buddhism Bodhisattvas like The Taras and such.. or are they mentioned in older Mahayana text aswell? I know of text like the medicine Buddha sutra and infinite light sutra and such.. but what about tara, kurukelle and others? What are their origins? Did the Buddha ever speak on such beings?

Of Dzambhala he did. Of Tara(s) already existed in ancient india buddism pre tibet. And the vajra yogini 'linage' belongs to the sarma tibetan buddhism, sarma is everything that is not nygma.
