Well originally Albania is almost all Christian but ottoman empire which occupied us for 500 years forced people to change religion to Islam or they would face high taxes. Under communism (1945-1990) albanians were not allowed to believe in any god or support any religion. Anyways I would say that the number of Islam people here has been stable or maybe dropped a little bit as the number of people living within our country has dropped like 10% in the last 30 years
