Major Storm Damage 5-12-22 If the over abundance of rain wasn't bad enough this wind storm/tornado damage has got us stressed out! Thankfully we're all safe and everything on the farm can be replaced. We lost our cold storage shed and at least 1 grain bin. Mostly all of the equipment stored in the shed was also damaged.

A PARTY LIKE NO OTHER! Join us July 1st, 2022 to celebrate 1 Million Subscribers (hopefully), enjoy some great music and contribute to a great cause! #GrainBinSafety Can we hit our $100,000 goal and 1 Million Subscribers?! We're teaming up with Anderson Bash to kick off our Grain Bin Safety Campaign again! Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Zach, when you see a news report of tornado damage, although your heart still goes out to the people involved, you feel a certain detachment. Watching this video made me feel like a catastrophe happened to a family member, even though we've never met. I know it must've been difficult to film all of the devastation when all you probably wanted to do is wish it all away. You have always said that your purpose in having this KZfaq channel is to share all aspects of farm life with non-farmers so that we can see what it's really like. Part of that is sharing the heartbreak along with the joy. Thank you and God bless you.

Zach I'm so very sorry. What a gut punch! The 2x4 in the tractor cab is what really gets me. I remember being the first one to pickup when dad wanted to go "assess damage." As a farm wife, I want to say thank you for giving your wife not one "but" or "just a second." Thank you for respecting her heart like that. I hope all this hurry, hurry, wait still comes out as a decent crop this harvest.

Farming is brutal. My family was one harvest away from not needing to borrow operating money in 1983. A late summer hail storm (golf ball sized hail, which was amazing as a kid) destroyed all the crops. We had insurance, but it put us behind. My grandpa and dad called it quits a few years later because of many compounding issues, but those 15 minutes of hail put us in a place where we just couldn't recover. Hopefully you can be more resilient than we were able to be.

@8:05 You did not need that. Hearing the disappointment in Zach's voice when he saw the shed and equipment broke my heart. I grieve with you and your family. Glad everyone is safe. Praying for dry warm weather so you can get your crop in the ground.

I appreciate you taking the time to put this video together. The amount of composure you had is tremendous. I'm glad to see everyone is safe, the ground will always dry up, and equipment can always be replaced. Best wishes and I hope you can get the show on the road very soon.

I’m sorry for your loss Zach. We’ve had a few of those in Iowa. We finally have had luck in planting approx 50% as of this writing. Hope your insurance goes without problems!!

The most important thing to be thankful for is that everyone (Becky, you, the kids, dogs, and hopefully all the cats) are safe. I'm sorry you are getting setback after setback, but insurance will help ease the pain with lost items. I grew up in tornado alley (midwest) so I understand the damage it causes. Again, really happy everyone is okay :)

Oh man, down here in central Florida we locally saw at least 21" of rain from hurricane Ian. On top of that the local rivers and creeks were already at capacity before the storm. End result was standing water in alot of homes.
