Looked like a seasoned vet out there working that recovery Trevor!! Other then the part that you missed with the front end getting smashed from him flipping it over backwards, but hey! We all miss stuff now and then.. LoL. I had a similar issue with my trailer a week ago when the spring hanger broke off and gave me rear steer when I really didn't want it at the time!! I ran my winch line under my truck and pulled it back in place and did the old fashion save of a 4x4 block of wood between the frame and axle and a ratchet strap to keep it from moving. Worked perfectly!

good way to respool winch line after starts getting loose, tangled, wedged....find a tree, that has a slight grade up hill to it, run out max winch line, or to where correctly wound on spool, then, with car in neutral, winch vehicle up the slight grade all the way to the tree, the grade will tension winch rope nicely, spooling up nice and snug, but easy to pull out when needed. PS, keep winch lines clean...dirt in the ropes act as abrasives, severely reducing life WES stop lifting, I was a young man that could pick up and carry REAL 12 foot creosote soaked wood RR ties...that was until one day at home(builder, homes, renovations) Sunday doing yard chores and my back went POP, just turning, reaching for a bag of leaves.....it ended my career, business and bankrupted me...If it had happened at work, would have been set, but it happened at home...ruined me
