At 13:46 on the 14th July 2020, Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service received multiple calls stating that an articulated lorry was on fire on the M5 South of Worcester. Firefighters responded, with Fire Engines responding from Worcester, Pershore, Evesham and Ross on Wye, well as crews from over the border in Gloucestershire. The incident caused over 5 miles of traffic, and the Ambulance Service also attended, as Well as West Mercia Police, who sent police cars responding to protect the scene.
Also in attendance in the BRAND NEW 2020 Scania P320 Fire Engine based at Ross on Wye Station in Herefordshire!
Thankfully nobody was injured in this fire.
