Starfield walkthrough on Very Hard difficulty with the following extra rules of engagement: No Purchases, No Meds, No Frontier Starship, No Companions, No Crew and more!
STARFIELD HARDCORE SURVIVAL MODE - Complete Rules of Engagement:
You must play the game on Very Hard Difficulty
PLUS...
1. NO MEDS
-------------------
You can only use meds that you craft yourself
2. NO PURCHASES
-----------------------------
You can only purchase the following:
Ship Modules (for ship builds)
Ship Parts (for repairs)
Ship Repair Services
Medical Healing Services (hire a doctor to heal you)
All other purchases are STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.
3. NO OVERBURDENING
------------------------------------
You are not allowed to move while exceeding your maximum carry weight.
4. NO UC FLIGHT SIMULATOR
--------------------------------------------
You are not allowed to use the UC Flight Simulator to power level the Piloting Skill (or any other skill)
Plus...
NO COMPANIONS
NO CREW
NO CONTRABAND
NO THEFT
Plus....
If you wish to earn the title of Hardcore Survivalist Starborn, you must complete the Seven Gauntlets of the Galaxy (to be revealed as the walkthrough progresses).
And in case you haven't quite grasped all the ramifications of these rules of engagement, all this means you have to play Starfield without using any meds that restore health, without buying ammo, resources, weapons or armor and you have to go into combat with Very Hard difficulty enemies that are utter bullet sponges.
If you decide to take on this challenge, well all I can say is...

The extended warranty bit was funny as hell. The fact the The games designers put it in the game when we in real life all have gotten that call was epic.

Incredible how you can do the space fight on this difficulty. I remember the early levels and how I was destroyed during space fights even on normal difficulty. That's some Han Solo level piloting, boss :D

Only one power unit in the missle rack you eliminated allows you to fire all missiles. Sometimes missles make opponents boost away and break lock.

You could change the variant on the landing gear to give it side attach points. Get rid of the weapon mounts and add wings or just go for cargo. Cool little ship 👍

It's upgradeable was my point. The nova galactic landing gear has three variants. The third or the "wide" variant would give you extra attach points should they be needed.

Really digging these videos! You really kick arse at ship combat. I just can't get it. I gave up playing because I can't get past some mission where you have to take on several ships. Fugit, I'll just enjoy Slack playing! Everything else is glorious in this game, but that ship combat sucks.

Just a hint big guy, try traveling to another planet in the system before Grav jumping. Less chance of swimming in the blackest sea 😂

If you're referring to escaping combat, you're not allowed to fast travel while in combat. You can only grav jump away from combat.

@@MajorSlackAttack I thought as long as your not getting shot at you could slip away, sorry will have to experiment to see if that's how it works. Either way it sucks and glad it's not just me getting shafted in those encounters 🤬

Nope. The game will clearly tell you that you can't fast travel while in combat. As long as there are enemy ships, i.e. red arrows on your targeting circle, you're in combat. Otherwise, space combat would be dead easy if you could just fast travel away anytime you like.

Not sure if you know or not but that loading bay you deleted for the nova one isnt Normally a rear loader its one of a few that you can flip to either front or rear load. Could of saved yourself some creds and just swap the landing gear and loading bays positions by flipping the loading bay to the forward position.
