Il est à la recherche du “beat absolu”. Le jeune batteur de Chicago Makaya McCraven est considéré comme le meilleur espoir de la nouvelle scène jazz américaine. Auteur d’un très bon album en 2018, “Universal Beings”, lui apportant la consécration médiatique, le mastodonte du jazz, de par sa carrure et ses compositions, fascine grâce à sa rythmique riche et précise, teintée de hip hop. Ses apparitions en France sont rares, mais il a fait le choix d’honorer la première de Blue Up !
Blue Up !
Blue Up est une expérience de soirées musicales dédiée à toutes les musiques du centre et de la périphérie du jazz. Dans un espace scénique singulier, trois artistes choisis autour d'un thème se succèdent pour des lives filmés.

It looks like Joel Ross is setup directly under that light ring. So I’d guess it’s giving off a lot of heat. It looks he has a wool cap on also over all those braids.
