Hello, i have a quastion. I do everythink 1:1 like you show your video, but as soon as I'm on Canva and want to adjust the finished design to the 2000 x 3000x frame, the whole image enlarges and my design no longer looks the same. Everything that was on the edges disappears. So the design is as if it was cut off. I'm at mywits'end. thank you for your time

For the demo photos that you post on Etsy, I generally don't think that upscaling is necessary. However, I would definitely recommend upscaling for any posters that you would actually be selling!

Hey, are there any copyrights or trademarks problems with such a landmarks posters? If so where can you check if you can use such a landmark for your art?
@aiartistrytutorials10 ай бұрын
As far as I am aware, a physical location cannot be trademarked in the US (not sure about other countries). So your only concern as far as trademarks would probably be the words on the poster and avoiding using words/phrases that are copyrighted and also ensuring that your AI tool isn't copying someone else's design. I believe you can search trademarks on a US government trademark website. As far as the design, that would be a little bit harder to test, but you could try to upload your image to Google and do a reverse image search to see if anything similar comes up. Hope this helps!

Generative AI datasets steal from millions of artists. Those artists did not give their consent. So yes, there is a copyright issue, and no, what this youtuber is telling you to do is not ethical. Don't steal from artists to try to make a living.

This video was posted month ago. If someone goes today to Midjourney and types in the same prompts, will they get the same or similar outputs for those parks?
@aiartistrytutorials5 ай бұрын
If you use this same version of Midjourney when writing your prompts, yes. However, newer versions of Midjourney will probably yield different results (but I haven’t tested the exact same prompts to confirm).

But don't you need to convert this image to vector or upscale it. Of course, it depends on the image you make, but for an image to be considered high quality, it must either be vectorized or have a high resolution.
@aiartistrytutorials7 ай бұрын
I would definitely recommend vectorizing since they’re flat style images! There are a few free AI tools like vectorizer.ai that will do this for free.
@armandourbina50957 ай бұрын
What you indicate in your video is not so true, an image generated with artificial intelligence does not have sufficient quality to be sold on Etsy, and if we transform it into a vector it will be distorted.@@aiartistrytutorials

How can I then print large-format posters from a midjourney file that has 1024px without losing quality?
@aiartistrytutorials Жыл бұрын
Great question! I would recommend converting the image to a vector and then you can upscale to any size without loss of quality. The easiest way, in my opinion, is to take your image from Midjourney and go to vectorizer.ai. Upload your image there and download it as an SVG (vector). Then you can take that vector and create your design for different poster sizes.

Can you talk a little more about creating a digital download from this?
@aiartistrytutorials10 ай бұрын
The general idea is that you would create a print-ready file, usually in multiple standard photo sizes, and then using a platform such as Etsy the user will receive access to download the file once they pay. This is a great way to create an evergreen product where all of the work is on the front end with creating the product. After that, it's all automated.
@omgwowgg Жыл бұрын
Personally, I think the hardest part is actually printing them, where are you going to print them? If you get someone to print them and frame them for you, there is little to no money to be made, and if you are to buy such a big printer to print such prints, it is a big initial investment, not knowing if your designs going to sell or not.
@aiartistrytutorials Жыл бұрын
That is a very valid question. The best way to work around the printing issue is either using a print on demand service or to sell them as downloadable posters where the buyer will then have it printed/framed. Print on demand does eat into your profit margin, but it takes a lot of work off of the seller without requiring really any initial investment or inventory management.

I honestly agree with your perspective. Even though this is an AI focused channel I definitely think there is great value in hand-made art and photography. Over time, I think that as more stuff is created with AI, people will develop a greater appreciation for handmade pieces since they will be less common. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Yes, except that there are already thousands of people selling this type of product on Etsy. Would you buy this product from someone who has 10,000 sales and 5/5 or from someone who has 0 sales? the answer is quickly chosen.
@aiartistrytutorials5 ай бұрын
That’s a fair point, although at one point in time every one of these shops also had 0 sales and had to build from there! That is definitely a hurdle, but I don’t think it automatically means it’s not worth pursuing. One way to tackle this challenge would be to find a specific niche that does not have as much competition and work to grow a customer base in that specific niche.
@lesrebem21775 ай бұрын
@@aiartistrytutorials Yes except that they arrived on the market first and it is impossible today to dethrone them. If they make so many sales it is because they must have solid marketing. This niche attracts a type of customer and those who want to become one, I repeat, will buy from their store and not from a new one.

C'mon son...it is not that easy...99.9% of Etsy/Redbubble stores make little to no money.
@aiartistrytutorials Жыл бұрын
Totally agree that most stores aren’t making that much. But my point is more so to illustrate that AI tools make the process of creating those type of designs pretty easy (and certainly a lot easier than trying to create a digital illustration from scratch). Marketing the store effectively, using Etsy SEO, and an effective Etsy ads campaign strategy are all probably the most difficult aspects of growing a store to actually make that much money. But I do believe that travel posters are a great market for POD right now and that all starts with having great designs and mockups.
@streamdps9 ай бұрын
@@aiartistrytutorials But still you have used a clickbait title that will foul viewers so they will start thinking that it is possible to earn so much money as these 1% of stores.
@podchicane5718 ай бұрын
That, and also AI creations are not copyrightable so anyone can steal the design and sell it cheaper without you ever having a claim that it's your design. AI are there to help us find ideas and inspirations, not to replace the actual production. Using them as such only shows a lack of craftsmanship and a lack of actual knowledge about how the world works. It's leeching off of others' work witg extra steps.

@brendanthegreek5 ай бұрын
These images, being AI, are not copyrightable, so someone could literally swipe the images you (or more accurately, Midjourney), just created. There may be a bit of a goldrush for talentless hacks using AI right now, but ultimately, this is the death of being able to monetize human talent and effort. Programs like Midjourney can only achieve their "magic" by ingesting and synthesizing the stolen efforts of thousands of uncredited human artists. Shame on you for aiding and abetting theft.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I respect your opinion and where you’re coming from. AI definitely is a big shift when it comes to what the world will look like moving forward, but my opinion is that the conversation should be focused on how to leverage AI for positive, productive purposes and not in a way that can be dangerous or harmful (which unfortunately we have also seen). Whether or not we like it, AI tools are definitely here, so I think we should figure out how to make the best of it. When it comes to art/design specifically, I actually think that AI will bring even greater value to handmade, handcrafted pieces as they will be even rarer in a world driven by technology. Just my 2 cents!
@brendanthegreek5 ай бұрын
@@aiartistrytutorials That’s a nice platitude. Presently, what it’s actually doing is taking a profound amount of money out of the hands of artists who’s hard earned skill is being debased and devalued by machines that have stolen millions of pieces of their work to algorithmically copy it. How you (or anyone) can even remotely construe this as a “positive” use of AI is mind boggling.

I appreciate you both taking the time to share your opinion on this topic. One of my goals with starting this channel was to start conversations about AI (and specifically AI art) and I’m glad that those conversations are taking place. I agree that in many ways AI does impact artists and will likely change a lot of what the digital art industry looks like. With that being said, I still do believe that there are totally different markets for AI-generated art/designs and work done by professional designers. I would argue that the person who uses AI to create their company logo today was probably not someone that would have hired a graphic designer a year ago. The value that a graphic designer adds to a project extends far beyond simply creating a simple logo, there is a lot of understanding of psychology, design, and branding that goes into that work that AI cannot replicate. People that value those things will still go hire a graphic designer today, people who are using AI tools to create logos are probably looking for a quicker and easier solution that will not encompass those other factors.

What I’m trying to do is create a poster image but not actually sell the posters. I’m trying to sell only the design, have the customer buy the design (digitally) and then they can go to a website where they can get the design printed on a wall art and shipped out to them. How do I go about doing that? Only selling the designs (digitally)
