i turned my bench grinder into belt sander in the reason of safety, i already saw a bench grinder's grinding stone shattered into pieces.
in this video ill show you how to convert a bench grinder to belt sander with simple tools.
i used 6204 bearing for rollers so it will take less work.

Грамотно сделал шкив на мотор. Я собираюсь себе сделать что-то подобное, и вот ни как не мог придумать ка самому сделать направляющий шкив, а тут все элементарно. Красава!!!

great job! I'd suggest adding a bolt on plate to your piece behind the belt that can be changed when it wears down.

Now, this project is the simplest, most effective belt sander conversion out of all the grinder-sanders that I've seen on KZfaq!! Now... Just paint it Orange with stripes and start taking orders! Anyone would pay $130 to $150 for it.
