I know this was two years ago but just watched it again and it occurred to me that it would make a great table runner. You could use 2 rows of the blocks, add a border and have a quick table runner. I give table runners as wedding gifts-this would be perfect for that. Thanks and I have the binding tool. Have had it for a few years-best tool ever for binding a quilt.

I think this pattern would make a great quilt for a man with fabric used with a theme of whatever his hobby or likes are. It's always amazing how Jenny and her family comes up with another great quilt or another idea made with fabric for us to try each week ! I really look forward to Fridays to see what MSQC has come up with. I think I am going to try this one, only I am thinking about making it into a smaller quilt, something that can be used as a throw etc.....This might be a good idea for a gift for a young man who has moved out into his own apartment or into a dorm room. Thanks Jenny !

Hey MSQC people, I was looking for something to make for my daughter and husband. They live in Texas and are awesome musicians. I told my daughter I was thinking I could make a back drop for when they play outside. Lots of barbecue's going on outside. I think this would be perfect with the colors they suggested. Blue's and green's. I'm gonna use Batiks and keep open a few squares to put there names in. Awesome tutorial as always!!!!

If you sewed this in strips and then ironed each strip opposite each other, would that make the seams nest? I’ve been quilting for almost two years, and making the seams nest is still difficult for me. Any advice would be welcomed as I️ plan on making this quilt.

With solids you can often times not tell the "right" side from the "wrong" side. But if you can, I would definitely suggest only cutting one sided, otherwise they will not rotate correctly.

Great video! I would love to try this. What width was used for the outside border? What about the binding strip? What fabric was used on the back? I plan on going with the Violet twilights jelly roll with a white jelly roll. Trying to figure out what to use for the border, binding and back. I see whatever was used for the back says it is 108" wide. But on another one I saw 5 1/4 yds of 44" wide. So, not sure about which to use.

I've had this tool in my basket for a week or so wanted to get enough products so I don't have to pay shipping checked my basket it's no longer available. I also wanted to get the quilt wall and there was 6 hrs left on the sale and it was "sold out" I just checked and its in stock at full price do you limit the amount of daily deal items? If so then that isn't a daily deal its a deal only if you get it before the quota. Please clarify this for me so I'll know if I really want something to check before bed so that I'll get it!

Hi Linda! Unfortunately due to supply on hand, there are a limited amount of Daily Deals each day and some days they do sell out before the day is over. If you are able to check them before you go to bed, I would suggest that just to make sure you never miss out on one you really want. If you'd like to add the binding tool to your wishlist, we will send you an email when it is back in stock. I hope this helps!

@susanp4828
@susanp4828 7 жыл бұрын
I see in one area she makes note it's 108" fabric, however, if you look at the area where she notes the supplies needed it doesn't specify, and if you click on the link for fabrics she uses it's a 44/45 wide and 2.25 yards would not be enough. FYI for all new quilters.

Pamela Keown You could just cut the fabric at 45 degrees and end up with the same result, if you don't mind snipping off your little quarter inch dog ears afterwards. I know what you mean about specialty rulers. I don't have a binding tool either but this looks very do-able without it :-) To be fair Jenny gives us so many tutorials that I don't mind if the odd one here or there doesn't apply to me. Happy Quilting!
