just one more comment ... love. love. LOVE this. I got all my patriotic fabrics. I've been cutting and sewing the last 2 days. I can't wait to snowball and actually make a block! this tutorial seriously struck a cord with me. i'm a babe of the Vietnam era. my father enlisted. came home. and then there was me. my family has an extensive history of military. I adore the flag. and this block is perfect for that.

I also have been sewing from a young age, made my pants when i was in high school, still can’t believe i did that! But remember watching the very few sewing shows once they came on, but back then it was cutting little fussy cuts, you have changed quilting, you make it easy for me and beginners, bravo! Love your tutorials, thanks to your son dreaming up the idea to have you do tutorials, 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I just finished a quilt top using your tutorial and jelly roll. I used two jelly rolls and made a large 4 block by 4 block quilt. My granddaughter, who is two, calls it the picnic quilt. The colors really pop in this fabric line and is so cheerful. The blocks went together so quickly I was almost disappointed. Only thing I had to pay attention to was putting the white squares on: I always put the one on the left corner first. That way if I got distracted I could get it oriented to put the 2nd corner on. Thank you for such a fun, easy and quick pattern.

I take it out and look at and thank God for you Jenny for showing these tutorials where I can understand. And make them fast and easy. That’s just what I look for in crafting and quilting. I have always love things I can make for others. I appreciate when someone gives me something homemade. I know it takes a lot of time and love behind it all. So! I know you and your family have love all in your hearts. Thank you again. I live at DeKalb,Mississippi. You tube will be closes to seeing you. Neat and easy design, thanks MSQC! You say one jelly roll makes 8 star block 9-patches. So, if you substitued a whole 6.5" square for the centres of each block [in either solid colour(s) that match your prints, or yardage of one or two of the prints you like best from the jelly roll collection of fabrics], then one jelly roll would yield 9 star blocks... which means you could have a nice-sized square lap quilt in a 3x3 star block layout. Bet it'd look terrific, and then the stars would *really* pop! ~Diana from Toronto
