I do like that left top leading to bottom right 🦋 Oh indeed, that tag is a great foculoint especially how you placed everything. Great cover. Something I've never remotely thought of!! Very Happy papers. I've gotten to use at least one to two children's pages. Colors are fabulous. Oh dear I see so many possibilities with the florals. The most important advice I've gotten from your journals, use different sizes placed in all sorts of ways I the journal. My days, Joie,Yes you have hit the lottery with your middle page.. yes just like wrapping Christmas's packages I do not move , but my ball of string tape and scissors walk away with each package

I finished one up today. It’s gonna be a dream journal. I used a cheap graph paper notebook. I started one for my music theory class. It turned out pretty good. I used your idea for using scraps that are long and you add a collage and a focal point. I added ribbon at the top and inserted the in my pockets. I also used old greeting cards attached to their envelopes and made a really long centerfold.

I just presented my daughter with my version of this. It's my fourth journal I've gifted and by far I think it's the best one ever, so thanks for that. Love how you folded the center image to keep it whole. I'm also a big fan of folding the pages so that you have the bit left over to add another page. Fold outs make our journals more interesting. Loving this series! Thank you!!

When auditioning elements for placement, once I'm satisfied, I find it helpful to take a picture of the arrangement before removing the items to the side, that way I have a reference when gluing everything down. 😁👍

Absolutely the very best making of signature I’ve seen over several years ! Oh how I would’ve loved to see your tutorial as a very beginner. Took 3 years of watching JJs vids just to be confident enough to make my first signature. Loads of tags, JJ covers, folders etc were made, but choosing the pages and the order etc first signature …. never felt I had it just right. I’ve enjoyed your tutorial, especially liked your creative folding and determining the the binding fold lays. Thank you for your time creating the very best Beginner Journal Making I’ve ever seen. I genuinely laughed out loud when you used the tiny yellow ruler as a bone folder! I have the EXACT one too (this years xmas crackers!!) and use it all the time as it fits in my pencil case so it’s never lost.... where as my two bone folders like to wander around! Loved this beginners guide. Can you maybe do some painting classes? I love your art work and am trying to get better when I’m well enough. I’m going to make a confession..... I still haven’t been able to use my Victorian lady’s flower book after you recommended it and I chased it down on the Internet.

Your channel is the best I've so far come across - you make it accessible, engaging and not overwhelming, which as a beginner is so important. I have a huge stash of collected craft papers and ephemera waiting to be used but have become stuck as am not sure how to get started. This video has given me a much needed inspiration boost, so with any luck I will overcome the decision paralysis and get going very soon :)
