Bonsai are no different genetically-speaking than other trees and plants of the same variety that you would find outdoors. A maple in a pot has the same needs as a maple in the forest-as such, be sure that if you’re making a bonsai to keep indoors, you only use plants that can naturally survive indoors. Too many people try to keep outdoor trees inside and the indoor environment cooks them to death.

Nothing artificial about bonsai trees. Any tree or shrub species can be turned into bonsai as long as they are woody and you follow the right steps

It’s super cute but feel a bit sorry for the plant 🌱 he ripped it out of its home, chopped off its roots, strangled it with a piece of wire clip at it here and there it must have been in shock
