Dear Jenny, thank you for another wonderful, fresh idea! Taking the trellis idea further as some have mentioned, I can see this with 2 shades of green for the edges and some large flowered fabric with leaves as the white centers. Can't wait to raid my stash and see what comes out! Hope you're healing and feeling better. Take care of yourself.

I have finished this quilt, using batiks and white. Like Jenny said, it does take some brain work. A couple of times I had to walk away, thinking I had sewn it incorrectly, but came back and figured it out. So happy with how it turned out, and will make another one too!

I just about went nuts lining up the seams when putting the rows together -- I found that If I put my stitch length on 4 and just sew each seam first before I sewed the whole seam. That way i didn't have to rip out a long seam when they seams don't match. I finally got it done - but never again!!!!!

I hope you brought the fabric back to JoAnns for a refund. They get inexpensive fabric from China.... which should be washed and ironed first, otherwise the color will run and ruin the whole thing. I see you wrote a year ago... hope everything turned out okay.
