Make a Simple Scrapbook Layout with Me

3 жыл бұрынLet's make a simple scrapbook layout together! I'll show you how to create a quick and easy 2-page spread with a sketch and a few supplies from your stash.
Here's what you'll need:
- 2 sheets (different designs) of double-sided patterned paper, ideally from the same paper packet or theme so they coordinate
- 4 sheets of solid cardstock in 2 colors that coordinate with the patterned paper; 2 sheets will be for the base of your layout, 2 sheets will be used for photo mats
- Stickers, printables or die cuts that coordinate with the paper
- Assorted embellishments (ribbons, brads, gems, buttons, etc)
- 4 photos (2.5" x 4", 3 x 4.", 3.5" x 5.5", 4" x 6")

I love your attitude about scrapbooking, and I feel the same. I appreciate that some people use this as their artistic outlet, which is fantastic - I use it to document my precious memories in a pretty way that is enjoyable for me to spend time on. I love doing it, I love looking at my finished work, and I love knowing that others can enjoy my works of heart as well. Lovely layout, by the way :) xoxo Vicky

Hi, Vicky! Thanks for the comment and compliment! I scrap for both the art and joy of memory keeping. I hope scrappers embrace both sides but not get caught in the comparison trap. I’ve seen way too many people get frustrated with scrapbooking because of it. I hope to try to make it accessible and fun cuz there is no right or wrong way to scrapbook. It’s however you want to roll. Make it work for you is my motto.

@@thescrapbookschool I totally agree, but I have friends who hesitate to share their layouts because they say they are not "artsy" or "creative" enough.....

For me and my drippy friends it’s usually in the evenings. I crop a lot of the weekend starting on Friday evenings. I also follow a lady that does a live YT crop every other Friday night. Hope that helps 😊
