This was a great tutorial. I am curious as to why the two rectangles were required. The animation appears to work without the rectangular boxes. Please explain.

the drawn line should be longer because after the pencil moves and "draws the line", the right end of the line moves from right to left, hence loosing the desired effect

I think the smooth end is more an aesthetically pleasing thing & the rectangles is so that the text doesn't go through the pencil when it comes flying in from the left. I hope this makes sense!

Great tutorial. Wouldn't it be faster to use the Animation Painter for the text animations and then just adjust the delays? Thanks.

Yes! It would. But in tutorials I think showing something multiple times will help the audience to learn faster. After learning the process, they can go with the shortcut methods.

Currently, I am using 2019 version. But this animation can also be done in the earlier versions of PowerPoint.

press CTRL + clic on each item you wan to select, then clic right on one item and select "group"

I have used Adobe Premiere Pro to create that intro but it is possible to create almost same type intro in PowerPoint.

This is so convoluted... You could just type the entire line out in a single text box and hit the enter key to create each new line. Then when you add in fly in Left from the advanced properties chose for each line. Also from a design form, you write from left to right. The pencil should go the other way.I love your videos, but this one is full of malarky.

Yes, I could do that but as I share the template for reusing purpose, I thought it would be easier to edit and understand for my audience if I use three different text boxes. I am Sorry, if I have done anything wrong.

PowerPoint School nothing wrong, just not the quickest or most direct way. And when you are creating presentations for work and not for fun time is of the essence.
