this is fascinating and the results are really beautiful! I grow bamboo and I'm teaching myself how to make things out of it, and there's a couple things I don't understand. it would be great if you could tell us what kind of timber bamboo that is, where one could find appropriate materials such as that. Another question is what is that piece of plastic all about? Are you just using it to draw a circle? Also, you're very skillful with that knife and chisel work that you're doing to increase the space inside, but it seems like an awful lot of unnecessary work. Be easier to use the appropriate diameter a screw bit and hollow out the middle on a lathe or with a drill? I don't know, maybe you just wanted to use hand tools? But I am really glad I found this channel in this video! I took a big piece of timber bamboo and made a modified one string base guitar out of it and it just didn't work out. as I was looking at the piece yesterday I flashed on making cups or glasses out of the bamboo. I'm looking forward to watching more videos from you folks, and I would just encourage you to give us more facts. After all, you can do it with text if you don't wanna talk. i'm also wondering if you did any of your own processing of your bamboo or did it come into your shop already cured? are you going to shellac or use mineral oil on the outside and does the interior of the cup, being wood (actually grass!) need to be sealed?

Normally I HATE background music in a video - it drives me BESERK. I scream and shout and post nasty rude comments in capital letters and give Thumbs Down. But this is nice... Calming. Relaxing.

I was really wondering how one would make anything out of bamboo, but then I saw the start of the Video and realized step 0 is having a piece of bamboo that's fat enough. Bonus points for the interesting choice of music. Am not impressed. Where the hell would I get bamboo like that in Central Europe? Oh well, sometimes it really sucks to be stuck in mediocrity of the temperate climate.
