• Crystal Clear Transpar...
Alcohol Free Transparent Soap Base - Made from Scratch Video Tutorial:
www.soapncrafts.com/Transpare...
Includes a pdf file with two recipes that do not contain Isopropyl/Ethanol Alcohol
1. Original transparent soap base recipe
2. Ultra clear transparent soap base recipe
3. FAQ is also included in the file
4. Facebook group is provided for problem solving
You need to have access to Facebook in order to watch all videos from this class
These transparent soap base recipes were originally created by Mellen Xiao from soapNcrafts. You could use as the melt and pour glycerin soap base for your other MP soap creations. Both soap bases have pH around 8-9. Rich in glycerin and gentle for the skin.
Ingredients for Crystal Clear Soap (Microwave HP Method)
A - Oil
Coconut Oil 140g
Stearic Acid 60g
Glycerin 400g
________
B - Lye
NaHO 34g
Distill Water 68g
________
C - Solvent
99% Alcohol 300g
Step 1. Pour all ingredients in A into a big microwave safe bowl, warm 2-4 minutes until all melted.
Step 2. Mix B until dissolved, pour into A. Whisk until white clumps form.
Step 3. Continuous to whisk into mash potato texture.
Step 4. Pour C into the mixture.
Step 5. Covered with plastic wrap, microwave for 1 minutes
Step 6. Whisk until clear liquid form.
Step 7. Pour into plastic mold and wait over night.
This method is a none sugar method. It's less sweating than regular soap base. Because of the high amount of alcohol and water, it will shrink. I wouldn't suggest to re-melt it like regular soap base. Therefore if you need to add colors and scents do so before you pour it into the mold.

Can this be used as a soap base? Or better yet can colorant be added before putting the soap in a mold and still keep the transparency? I'm interested in making honey soap and have that honeycomb color and look. Also after cutting the soap is curing needed? How fast can it be used?
@soapncrafts
@soapncrafts Жыл бұрын
For hot process normally is suggested to cure 2weeks, but you could use right away if the pH is not too high (pH = 9-10 is ideal). It is not the melt and pour method, you may find that this method the soap is very soft, and not very good for remelt. I am just providing a inspirational idea, you could feel free to adjust according to your own needs.
