I’m new to lasering…I tried used glue and 3M….the 3M was expensive so I tried Roberts double sided carpet tape…..it’s awesome

Are you sealing yours with anything? I’ve been using Mod Podge but don’t love the extra step.

ookay question. I've been using my laser cutter for some time now and have recently started making puzzles ( a butterfly, truck, birds etc) everything was going perfectly fine until the painting part. i use an acrylic spray primer for the bottom layer and then go over it with my colour. now my pieces don't fit, even with just the super thin layer of primer. is there a step I'm forgetting> is my offset wrong or is there a paint *specific* for projects like this?

Maybe you can cut a perfect 1 inch square, measure it with calipers. Then paint that 1" square like you would a puzzle piece and measure that with you calipers. This might help you determine the offset including that paint.

Great video as always but when I cut my letters, they are difficult to get back in as my kerf offset is 0.00 like yours. I'm using MDF so perhaps the wood is swelling slightly after paint? Would appreciate some feedback or suggestions. Cheers from South Australia 🇦🇺

hey you literally have the exact some problem im dealing with right now. my letters/shapes all fit perfect - using mdf too- till the painting part and then they swell and dont fit into their slots anymore (even with just a thin layer of spray primer) and im really struggling with my offset step.. or my measurements, i dont even know at this point. soo have you figured anything out in the last 5 days :)
