I took some of your tips and started using them today. I've changed the language of my phone and my car. It's going to take some getting used to seeing notifications and such in French on my phone. I also found a podcast in French on Spotify that I intend to listen to at least an hour a day...maybe more if I'm all caught up with my KZfaq subscriptions. I figured I'd do a subject that interests me so I'm listening to tales of the supernatural read by a lovely French lady. Thanks for the hacks!

In my experience, Lingopie subtitles usually don't match the French spoken in the show/movie. I suppose you can decide for yourself whether that's conducive to language learning or not. In my opinion, it's not.
