I love that idea. I have a group from work we celebrate our birthdays together we do Sunday dinners when we’re free. I think it can be really comforting if maybe you don’t have family where you live because you’re young professionals or some friends are empty nesters or maybe they just don’t have family it gives that sense of belonging a sense of family when you really need community and understanding.

Hey! Quick tip on the steak - pat it dry with paper towel before coating it in oil + seasoning, heat up the pan to medium-high heat, cook it in oil for 1 minute each side, then lower the heat, add the butter + herbs and baste the steak until you get an internal temp of ~125 degrees ☺️ Hope this helps!

What kind of steaks do you recommend? I tend to pick steaks that are chewy and tough unfortunately.
@Awilltofly28 күн бұрын
@@milycruz125 for steaks, I'd recommend ribeye or new york strip and look for Prime grade if you can (although I've still found good marbling on Choice cuts). I'd recommend getting a probe thermometer to check the internal temp of the steak though bc if it's tough and chewy it may be a bit overcooked

It looks great! I would just try to have the pan a bit hotter with just oil to get more of a crust on the steak. Then you can add the butter and herb to the pan at the end of the cooking and baste the steak with it so you still get the nice herb flavor but also a good crust. I would still devour it as is though!!

I love The fact that steak salad means so many different things to different people. I learned to make Steak salad from my Chicana friend 20 years ago. But we make it with any form of cheap beef that’s cubed with garlic salt and pepper cooked on high heat really fast so that the outside is crispy on the inside is tinder. We put it on top of white rice with fresh avocado, fresh tomato, fresh, cilantro, lime, and a dash of soy sauce.❤

Your food looks delicious and is the kind of recipe that doesn't overwhelm with too many ingredients or take too much time in prep. I do think that you would benefit from a shorter countertop or something to stand on. It changes the amount of stress on your shoulders.
