Yeah it's a mods. I wish I could be able to mods my own Switch for adding somes mods in Smash Ult and TotK but I don't want destroy my console since I hear modding the Nintendo Switch can be very hard if we are a newbie and it can cause somes issue if you do it wrong so, as I'm already a newbie into the Smash Bros Brawl modding community on emulator and I barelly manage to create my own skin mods (planned in future somes BotW/TotK/AoC characters beeing playable in Brawl) but I always struggle at the end of my custom skin mods and that I always need someone for fix my mistake since I never understand what wrong I do at the end, I don't see myself launch into a Nintendo Switch modding yet x)

They aren't useless at all if you use them carefully. Actually my most favorite sage (that I mainly use and enjoy to spend so much time that I even did a new game after done the story for reach this sage early as my first sage and enjoy more the game a second time by redo again the story but with more pleasure than the first time) is Mineru Construct and I think it's the best sage from TotK. Why? You can have somes fun to troll somes ennemi since it's a strong robot who can made ragdoll ennemi in one hit when you control the robot (except big boss like hands, dragons, Ganondorf...), you can attach anything to the robot like somes rock and destroy huge rock without destroy your own weapons but the most fun item is the shroom if you want throw the ennemy far away in one hit or you can attach somes explosive cannon for explode everything or ice thrower and then, after freeze ennemy, you can act like a jerk by push ennemy into water for they drown and die and you can attach a ventilator in her back for go more fast and climb somes hight slopes who are not supposed be climb at foot and are supposed be climb with hands if you choose carefully the path for climb while you use the ventilator, when you need to fight somes annoying boss like the 3 head dragons or the strange weird huge frog-like in the Depths and you get so much issue with them, thank to Mineru Construct, they aren't a threat anymore if you pilot the robot and then get off by jump back from Mineru Construct and use your bow for few seconds before touch ground so you can aim in slow motion and shoot in their eyes for paralyze them and attack them before climb Mineru again and redo the same action until the boss is defeat, Mineru Construct is very helpfull for walking into the liquid Gloom without get hurt (pretty usefull into the Depths and in the 3 maze in Hyrule when you have to follow item in ground for reach the shrine without be lost and without meet those Gloom Hands but you have to walk in Gloom sometimes but thanks to Mineru Construct, you are safe), Mineru Construct can help you to cross somes river as long it's not too much deep so it's more easy to cross a river without it push you away so it can work with lava and frozen water as well and you can even fall from hight place with Mineru Construct without use your paraglider and without be injured when you land the ground. For others sages, they are usefull too. For example, Sidon can give you a water shield arround you, similar to Daruk power but, unlike Daruk, the water shield break in one hit. You can even use the Sidon water shield for throw it on ennemy with a sword attack. However it have a better use: You can use it into the Gerudo desert and inside somes cavern in death moutain without suffer fire or heat wave (pretty logical since it's water) so after the water shield disappear, you can stand several minutes without Link suffer hot/heat wave and without need any clothes or food against it and I even done the Fire Temple without any Goron Fire Armor and without food against fire since Sidon do the job very well so yeah, just like the several ability from Rauru hand, if you take your time to analyze each Sage, you can found somes secret ability to each sage for use them better.

Next time try watching the video with your eyes open. Your opinion sucks. Depending on sages is beneficial. Not my fault you like to do things the hard way.
