Man....that's heartbreaking. To come back like that, just for someone to blow coverage AND sabotage the last shot. The house usually wins in Random Roulette 😔

I used to run around like a chicken with my head cut off just trying to get open, never realizing that I was also pulling my defender with me and clogging up the floor for my teammates. I made an adjustment a month ago, and have seen amazing results. Watching this video right now just solidifies all of that for me.

Hey man, as long as you ended up learning the proper way to play I’m happy! Thanks for sharing!!

Keep being the voice for the good teammates and showing everyone how it's done. Just some random's input but something you could do is slow down just a little and not pass so quick (fake pass), sometimes this leads to rotations you can read, open cuts, or just wide open shooters (but as a solo rec player I know people troll if they don't get the ball every possession). I know that step-back spin was cash... gg.

Nah man, we’re all about getting better here and I’m not excused for that! You see a good basketball play I should have made and I’m here for it! This was definitely early in my Rec career so I was still getting used to the pace a bit, hut this advice is always good to keep in mind! Thank you bro!

I would’ve been cussing out 35 all game😭😭

The problem is, most people don't actually play or study basketball, so they don't have any type of basketball IQ. They think the cheese moves in 2K is the only way to win. Not only that, the casuals don't really understand the mechanics of the game how they think they do. So, low basketball IQ combined with lack of understanding 2K's mechanics equals consistent bonehead plays that cost games.

Kev thanks for dropping this video. It just lets me know that I’m not crazy lol. 2k is a great game the “skill gap” is just simple basketball IQ. 35 was definitely in the wrong, he should have just stayed corner. GGs bro. We gotta lock in 🤝🏾
@KevinCruz0169 ай бұрын
Yessir griff, sometimes the best thing you can do is stand still, if he stayed in the corner and his man helped, he would have been open for the 3!

@KevinCruz0169 ай бұрын
Yeah bro 😭 he was doing all sorts of nonsense all game because he couldnt wait to get the ball in his hands when every time I made the right play for him 😭 doesn’t matter if you can put the ball in the hole if you’re selling on your team!
@lawrenceforrester74039 ай бұрын
I honestly don't think #35 was trying to be a bad teammate... there just aren't enough tools to communicate without a mic what his intentions are. Him coming to you all game looks like he's wanting to set on-ball screens to setup a pick-and-fade situation, but he can't really tell you that's what he's wanting to do, so instead it just reads like bad spacing all game. The last play was rough all around; taking that spin jumper with only one adrenaline bar is a tough, but makeable shot, but the spacing by #35 was pretty bad. He looks like he want to give a the entire right side of the court to get your shot, but instead of cutting through baseline, he tries to run around you and brings the defense right to you.
@KevinCruz0169 ай бұрын
I think communication is a super big deal, and this is a great point. I play on the Asia server, where I play with a lot of non-English speakers so it's tough to communicate for sure. I just think that general rules of spacing should apply in this situation with 5 seconds left. i also agree that overall, it's tough to get organized in these types of situations with randoms, and no experience playing on end of game situations. Still wanted to get that shot off, if that guy in the corner didn't help, I believe it was gonna be an easy bucket!!

35 is the worst random rec to play with!!! Always leaving their man open, always wanting the ball, terrible spacing. Random rec is hell to deal with lol
@KevinCruz0169 ай бұрын
For real man, he's a good player, just needs to learn how to play within a team setting. He's causing more harm than good with the way he plays unfortunately

To be fair… you had the roll for the game wide open Kev lol but cf I wouldn’t have passed either 😅
@KevinCruz0169 ай бұрын
Roll was late, he had someone glued to him as I was initiating my spin gather. I would only make that pass as a high pass accuracy playmaking build. At that point, I’m taking the shot and not risking the lane steal. I had a good shot, corner man brought his guy to me, it is what it is!
@alexbriggs6719 ай бұрын
We need a video on LUKA!!!! Does he have pro play animations? Surely.
@Dellefield9 ай бұрын
If #35 would’ve stayed in the corner, that would’ve been a game winner. When it comes down to the wire, let your playmaker make the play/decision. I understand he was trying to get open but if he stayed in the corner. His guy could’ve left him open.

Randoms rec is not for the smart people 😭 I’d argue one thing though on the last shot you very well could’ve thrown a lob to the paint & won the game that way since everyone was watching you set up your shot
@devv1979 ай бұрын
Nah i rewatched the last 5 seconds in 0.5 speed and the Center lingered in the paint long enough that an early lob would’ve been contested. If he threw the lob after the Center left the paint (around 1 second left) there wouldn’t have been enough time on the clock.

Played this game for so long he might of done it on purpose, going to the corner he should already knoe his assignment key word spacing

Yeah man, it's unfortunate. I was creating for him all game too, but he just wanted it so bad that he cost us the game. His defensive mistakes were also terrible too, the man just running around lol

I play a big and this version of 2K has made it very difficult to finish at the rim. Wide open layups don’t go in and your player goes for a layup instead of a dunk a majority of the time. Sucks. Little guards can make everything around the rim though
@bryanperez86089 ай бұрын
Agree i been finishing more with my 6 10 than with my 7footers getting more contacts too i have a 7 2 with 98 standing yet i get more contacts on a 6'10 with 90 standing dunk

I think you still would have missed the last shot, you only had 4% takeover and was below half stamina. The left corner and the paint looked open to me.
@KevinCruz0169 ай бұрын
I'm confident in hitting that shot. Left corner had a guy playing the lane guarding both the wing and left corner, and the cut was too late in the clock. Steph's jumper has either a B+ or A+ timing stability and defensive impact, so stamina wouldn't matter and that contest is gonna be low. I believe that's a bucket, but the unfortunate thing is we won't know!!
@davidkalmes89839 ай бұрын
On the play where KD gave you the ball in the corner and didn't space. 2 things 1. I wonder if he was trying to set a screen right there before getting the ball from you. 2. Does the game not realize he 1000% either double dribbled or traveled? 😂
@liamtownson41089 ай бұрын
Rec randoms are annoying af man, they literally think they have to run around all game instead of standing still on offense, when they run around it creates confusion because the defence follows which doesn't help with floor spacing, honestly I barely play rec because of stuff like this, I also notice they never want to pass when you have takeover
@vallon8519 ай бұрын
Any pinoy rec players here who want to build a 5 man rec/pro-am team? Just tired playing with randoms. I’m a pg but i can play sg as well.

SIGH...smh...the pains of running with rec randoms...
@ohhhlawditstel85199 ай бұрын
Guard up would’ve activated on that last shot so it was a good shot. But the random ran to you giving you no space to release your shot. The rec random strikes again smh.
