you need to do the rear tyre arches, majority of road noise will come from the tyres and travel through the arches

Looks good mate. There some other type of panels that you can put on the inside of the hood, etc that it is sound and heat proof and even makes the metal kind of harder. I want to get those to fit in my Punto. I will have to completely stip off the entire car. Keep up the good work mate. How are the Coils doing so far?

Pro tip for Punto owners, get a 1.9 JTD or a HGT. They have much more sound dampening out of factory. Loved this episode, you should do similar one but for things like LED lights

The trick is polyurethane foam in key places - A, B and C pillars, sills and rear wheel wells. Make the body more rigid, sound and vibration absorbent. That is the secret. It will make a world of difference!

I recon insulating the wheel arches or general area around the wheels and the firewall makes the biggest difference.

Great video, I don't own a seicento but always liked them, I have a 1994 ford fiesta si which is quite rare and it needs new sound deadening so I've added your eBay link to my watch list, did the 30 sheets complete the Seicentos floor pan etc or did you need to buy more to complete it? Great videos and I have subscribed :)

I wonder will that stuff get wet with condensation when the car cools down at night, making the bottom of the rear seat wet and mouldy. My cinquecento leaks in a few places, ie around the rear side window seals and the drivers door seal so I prefer to leave well alone instead of sticking stuff to the floor.

I seen other videos where they tested with a decibel measurement and it improved with like 10 15 decibels les road noise on most cars but it also improves music sound in the car so win win

The arches and boot floor were done recently and the improvement is considerable - quieter and exhaust noise is less harsh 👍🏻

Why are there so many UK/European vids of car sound deadening, etc.? Is it that in the US we just do it so often that we don't make a big deal out of it?

Great video but slow down when you show text in your video. Only appeared like for a second about your joke of "adhere" and didn't get to read it. I've sound proofed 3 cars. I used Dynamat and also used 5mm black closed cell foam. You need to cover your wheel arches as this is where most of the sound comes from. The Dodo insulation you use only stops vibrations and deadens low frequency noise. I applied 5mm closed cell foam on top. It helps with noise absorption and helps keeps the car warm in winter.

Excellent work Joe, that should make at least a bit of difference - looking forward to seeing just how much in your next video! FYI, if you find your trim removal tools chip and break a bit (I had a similar set like yours, even the same color), it's because they are made of ABS plastic - strong, yes, but brittle. If you go to get a replacement set, look for a set made of nylon like these: www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00U2HWMFW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Nylon trim tools are a bit more pliable, so if you put a bit too much force on them one way, they'll just bend a bit rather than snap. :)
