Just to clarify, the dowry here is the gift given to the bride by the husband, not the other way round. Many cultures have a dowry where the bride and her family gift the groom. This isnt from Islam.

Wallahi this morning I was pondering that I’ve always listened to our beloved sheikh always encouraging marriage whenever and however possible but I asked myself that I’ve never heard him (until this point) talk about how most of guardians and girls in ummah establish a mahr that is difficult to fulfill and how halal is almost impossible and haram extremely easy then this video pops up SubhanAllah. 🥹🩵
