Thank you for making this informative video! This tutorial creating a demo board formulates a substantial concept to encourage people getting into the hobby (or even parents) how to build something so basic, they shouldn’t have to buy something that’s been pre-built and save some extra money building something in their own hands. Looking back at my MS-2 demo board I own (bigger demo board lol), I’m very positive creating a system like that is also very inexpensive to build ($400-$700 if a panel or the board w/power supply is included)

I’m not into fire alarms as much as I once was anymore, but I remember back when I was like 12 I made a board with a BG-12, a Commander 2, and basic supplies I had at home with nothing but a simple KZfaq tutorial. It’s insane what kids are charging for these.

Thank you so much!! I was panicking about how to afford one for my son. He's autistic and loves fire alarms and fire safety. He knows all of the brands, what everything does, and knows the different alarms by their sound. A demo board is all he has asked for for his 8th birthday. You broke down all of the steps and I can't thank you enough, because I was lost!

I wonder what that little plastic thing you used for the pullstation wiring is called and some of the specifics on putting the wires in, I do notice how the wire goes in, but it's kinda hard to tell which ones are being connected together. I've always wondered how people provided power for the pull station in that kind of testing setup

Thank you for posting this! My son is 4 years old and obsessed with fire alarms. I know nothing about them, but am going to try and build this for him for Christmas. Couple questions Are the handy boxes sizes standard? I think I have a wall adapter charger for other equipment, does it matter if it's 12V vs. 24?
@FireAlarmDude5967
@FireAlarmDude5967 8 ай бұрын
Handy boxes come in different sizes. For pull stations, look for the single gang one shown in the video and for alarm devices look for a 4x4 square box. The voltage depends on the alarm, 12 volts will usually be fine for Joey devices
