When an American says, "Rise a blyde," an Australian hears, "Razor blade."

Good vid. I like your presentation showing all the tools. It helps people understand easier. I would suggest having a bit more material sticking up from the vise jaws. About twice the diameter of the wire will give enough material for a rounded head. The use of a ball peen hammer as the spreading tool will improve the shaping of the head. The radius of the ball causes the impact energy to be concentrated in a smaller area on the end of the wire. That forces the material being hit to flow away from the impact like hitting clay with your fist. Many light blows work better than fewer heavy ones. Good luck in your future rndeavors.

How is that a rivet? It is only one half of a rivet. You made a nail head.
@KB4QAA6 жыл бұрын
No, it is a rivet with a flat 'made' head, ready for installation. The head could have shaped several different ways including round, brazier, countersunk, etc.

That is the way rivets are made,with one head LIKE a nail. The second head is made after the rivet is inserted into the piece of work. Perhaps you should watch some videos about riveting.
