Hello everybody! Here is the process of how I made my own rug tufting frame. My frame is 40"x40" and can make rugs up to 3'x3'. I hope somebody on the inter of nets finds this helpful lol :P
Materials you will need:
1) Wooden Panels (I went to rona and bought 2 pieces of 2'x4'x8' and had them cut down into 4 pieces. 3 pieces were approximately 40 inches long and the last piece was approximately 56 inches)
2) Corner Brackets / L Brackets + Flat Corner Braces
3) Wood Screws
4) C Clamps
6) Carpet Gripping Tack Strip
5) Power Tools
6) Some sort of saw to cut down the tack strip if needed.
7) Hammer
8) Eye Bolts / Eye Hooks
9) Small rectangular strip of wood to nail to the top of frame to attach eye bolts on (for threading yarn through)
10) Felt Furniture Pads (optional)
If you have any other questions I haven't answered here, or ideas on what I should make for my first giant rug on this frame, please comment them below or feel free to reach out to me on instagram @jogzrugz!

I found it VERY helpful! I've never done any kind of 'wood working' .... yes people are laughing at me because I called this woodworking! But the way you described the process, I think even a screw driver virgin like me could probably pull this off without a call to 911 and a few stitched! haha The one thing that I was wondering about, the crappy ones I've seen on Amazon for stupid money all have wooden dowels to hold the yarn cones. I was trying two sort out how I could make the holes in the frame to secure the dowels, I'm sure cluing them just on the frame would not work. Were you thinking of attaching the yarn cones to the board behind? I would love an update on how you sorted that out. I am literally about to pull the trigger and get the whole kit but it was the frame that was really bugging me! The one that comes with the kit is only 29 by 29 and it's about $120 which makes no sense to me! The one head scratcher for me is, if you want to do a bigger rug, you'll gave to build a whole new frame! I wonder if you could add onto the same frame. Not sure if that makes sense but in my over exhausted brain it makes fabulous sense! One last thing, did you get the Home Depot peeps to cut your wood to size in the store? Here's one last thought, only because I know you were hoping for it so much! That's a rather large beast of a frame to hide away in a closet or under a bed. And because I faux fini everything but the kitchen sink, I was trying to come up with second job for the fame to do when it's just sitting there looking like a Tufting frame. I may paint mine, try and find a way to bling it out a bit so when I"m not using it I could add some pretty fabric and use it as a room divider. You know how the Victorians made absolutely everything look pretty? I know most people could care less but My tufting room is going to have a few purposes including guest room, podcast studio, cat condo etc....Annnd I'm fixing up my home to sell so everything has to look as spiffy as possible, this may make more sense for my situation and maybe others who will be using that room for various purposes might want to give it is a more eye pleasing vocation when not in use!! haha. Omg! I movie screen with the projector! Perfect! I think when I go to HD I'll just play your video instead of trying to explain what a rug tufting frame looks like!! haha Thanks so much, I really needed to see this literally tonight as I am about to hit 'BUY NOW' for the kit!! So excited!!! I can't wait to see you using your frame for the first time! Take good care!

The fabric isn’t glued to the frame, that’s why she has the carpet strip to hook it onto
