Unfortunately if you use reinforced tape instead it can easily fail because the adhesive of the reinforced tape gets added to adhesive of the double-sided tape - think if it like putting wood glue on one side of an item and, say, contact glue on the other and hoping they bond well. More often than not they are weaker than they would be separately because 1)these tape adhesives are designed to bond in one very thin layer and never properly set/cure with a double layer; 2) tapes have different formulas and many are just not compatible. And yes, I have tested this IRL trying many combinations myself, none are up to level I'm comfortable with. An excellent double-sided tape with a reinforced *uncoated* strip of something like his "flex banner" would be much better as long as the strip is made of something compatible with the particular double-sided tape you use. Or do like I decided to do and switch to overlapping joint with epoxy - very durable if done right

@@user-zx7tg4ph5r - yes my dear on every road political parties makes big board of this type of banner with wishes, thankfulness or advertisement.....in that banner - paper used to print is "flex paper" --- printing press people call it flex banner -- cause it is made up of thin flexible plastic molecular structure...

@@user-zx7tg4ph5r - instead of this i would suggest you to use nylon reinforced packaging tape...it will work in better way and also easily available.

Tearing flex banner paper and showing threads inside it - which are same as foundation of sanding belt.
