Don't have $400? No problem! This won't be quite as good as a VH11, but it can work for those on a budget. Facebook: 65 Drums www.65drums.com

Great solution for a tighter budget. Just upgraded my TD11 kit with this.As an added plus, you can use the original CY-5 hi-hat as an extra Crash2 cymbal.

Perfect, I see it as a proof that the Go controller works just as well as the VH-11 controller. However, I would see it's purpose as DIY controller for DIY hihat cymbals. BTW, Jobeky drums is using this controller with their hihat.

It's not as good as the vh11, the construction of the piece is not as high quality as the vh11. But I'm really glad it's out there. It performs really well. I'm surprised no one has made something like this before.

Hi justin, very nice and helpfull videos! I just got a cy12c today and yes my clutch from my standard gibraltar hihat stand is to wide for the small hole on the cy12c. I am just wondering if there is a narrow clutch like you showed here for the standard hihat stand or are you using a thinner hihat stand that fits that narrow clutch that you are saying. And by forcing that narrow clutch does it create damage on the hole? Thanks

Hi there, love your videos and they’ve helped me a lot with my acoustic conversion, but can I ask - does this module work if played under the hi hat pedal? I am just looking for alternatives to the Pintech hi hat controller ? Thank you again

Love the channel, it’s excellent! With regards to the stand mounted HH v rack mounted....I honestly do not see/feel or hear enough, if any, of a difference to warrant the cost of the VH11, not including a HH stand... I’ve played acoustic kits for decades, and electronic kits going on 10 years now. I find a good old CY12H with a decent controller plays just as well. It’s the player, not the gear. Although, I suppose application matters too. For me, a drummer in a new wave tribute, I don’t need whatever edge a VH11 would provide, nor do I need the extra lug of the stand. 🤷🏼♂️

Hey thanks for the tip! I've got a question for you.... I'm about to pull the trigger on a used Roland TD-9KX2 kit that comes with the VH-11 hi-hat. The problem is, it looks like it's missing the big rubber washer part that goes under the sensor, and the top part of the clutch. Will I be able to make or figure out some sort of work around, or will I need to order the exact roland clutch that goes with it? Let me know your thoughts, thanks!

Hello from France, thank you for this very useful video. I didn't know this GoEdrum trigger. I was not ready to spend $400 for a VH-11 but I was not happy with the FD-8 pedal. I've bought the GoEdrum trigger for my old TD4-KX2 drum set and it's working perfectly with the VH-11 setting. I'm using it with the CY-5 stock cymbal but I'll change for a CY-12C because the CY-5 is not well balanced. I recommand this trigger for people who want to have a good experience for a really attractive price.

QUESTION: If I use a Yamaha PCY100 10" 3 Zone Cymbal Pad (which is more of an uneven half cymbal, than a full round circle cymbal) Will it still work just the same? or will it be tilted while at rest and tilted while playing? I've noticed that other drumsets use that exact same cymbal as a hi hat but while stuck in place on a mount so it doesn't jiggle, never on a hi hat pedal. Which is why I'm curious. I really enjoy using that cymbal as a hi hat pedal in stores, and would love to buy one for this. Thanks!

Quick Question. If my hi hat hardware is too big for the hole of my roland CY-13r OR CY-12c, Can I just make the hole bigger using a drill?
