Thanks for the great explanation Victor. Inspires me to shoot more videos. I just got my a6700 and there's a lot to learn from your videos. Could you also possibly make a video on the settings you use. Or to be precise how you set your camera for run and gun situations. In specific to a6700, I would love to know how your menu is set up and what your custom buttons do and so on. I have seen a similar video for the fx30, but would be nice to see a a6700 specific video. In any which ways, thanks a ton for inspiring! 🙌🏽

Hey awesome Video mate.🎉 i just Upgraded to the a6700. I am using it for cinematic Travel Videos. I already own the Sigma 16 / 18-50 / 56 . But i wanted to get the 35mm Look . Is there a lense you would recommend for that ? Maybe the Sigma 23mm Sony 24mm or samyang 24mm ? Or do you think it would be worth it to get a anamorphic lense ? Thanks! Rly love your content❤

There are so many things you can actually improve in this workflow. Research a constant Intermediate Workflow. What is IDT and ODT. Do you need to set up your look first and then grade individual clips. Do you want to set up your LOOK on a group/timeline base and not in each clip. How to optimise your node structures and clips/timeline. WHY NOT TO BALANCE FIRST DARK WHEN CLEARLY YOU HAVE WARM LIGHT HITTING THAT PART and if you want leveled dark - just f use LUM v SAT curves. Use Chromatic Adaptation for your WB and use color science around it. Use HSV for Sat. Stop crushing your blacks after you changed the curves and pushed them earlier. Use mask for skintone check or DCTL. Cheers from Taipei!

I was wondering do you have a e book idk what im doing wrong my videos always have grain i over expose 1 stop like people say and I shoot base iso 800 What settings do you typically shoot at and do u ever overexpose when recording

If you have the a6700 or fx30 expose more to the right +1.7 if you must. These sensors are still hungry for light. If it's full frame camera you can get by with +1. Metering isn't always accurate so you'd have to keep testing! I have some video tutorials on exposing! Might help out

It’s all about having a neutral start for control! Once you get that base, it’s easier to manipulate colours afterwards. Think of it as organizing first before doing anything. You can just copy the structure from here :)

I tried to reach out to you on ig but maybe you didnt see but basically I was watching your a6700 lowlight video and was just wondering. Is the same effect achievable on the fujifilm xs20 since its the same sensor? Also what are your thoughts on the xs20, I was thinking about getting that over the a6700 because of the more filmic look and the colours are said to be better.

@@VictorLafortezai want the 6700 because i do 50/50 photo video but no fan , fx30 has no mechanical shutter cant do strobe photography i want to do model photography aswell not sure the lack of viewfinder is going to affect me might just need to save for fx3..

Hi, is the a6700 and fx30 the same for colour grading and slog3 ? Because i heard that there’s a creator that struggles with colour grading with the a6600 especially when shooting with slog so she decided to upgrade to fx30. I wonder if it’s the same case for a6700 because it’s only a slightly new version from the a6600.

A6600 has a way older sensor and can only do 8bit. The a6700 utilizes the same sensor as the fx30 and can do 10 bit which is a huge upgrade.

Hi what’s the purpose of going to rec709 after recording in slog? Why not just colour grade it from slog? About to purchase an a6700 so I’m new. Thanns

You are still grading in slog! But the final rec709 conversion is to make sure it’s on a color space that monitors and device use which is rec709

I have the a6700 and having issues shooting in low light. I have my settings set to shutter priority, with auto iso set to 2500-6400, using the sigma 16 1.4. Are these bad settings
