Why counting on 8 ? Why not counting several Times on 6 ? What is the difference ?

If you're counting the patterns, you can use 6 or 8 or whatever the number of beats the pattern is. If you're connecting to the music, you should count the music which typically rolls around in 8 beat segments. Does that make sense? -Brian

So, count on 8 or 6 , or walk, walk, triple step,.triple step, walk, walk and repeat again. I don't understand the différence,🤔 Thank you for your help

@@Mani26ification "counting straight 8's" only really only comes into play when you're trying to be "musical" with your styling and pattern selection to pick out specific highlights in the music. -B

@@Mani26ification Yes! Long term that's the better way. You're counting the music that way and it will help you connect to the music better. If that's difficult in the beginning... you can do with counting the pattern (like you mentioned earlier) Keep up the good work! -B
