These knives are available at: makencreate.net
This batch of knives originally started out as just three but for whatever reason or circumstance that I don't quite remember, I decided to forge five more a do a rather large batch.
These were an absolute pleasure to make as everything went really smooth from start finish as I barely encountered any problems.
I will make a video at one point showing how I did the ladder pattern that two of the knives in this batch ended up getting.
Thanks for watching!

Man, I have been following your work for years. this is some of the best work I've ever seen. You have actually inspired a lot of my work, I. recently welded up a five layer billet of leaf spring and file. I'm only 15 years old and I started when I was about 13, I've been blacksmithing and bladesmithing and every time I make a knife I usually go to your channel to find more ideas! Thanks for all the inspiration 😎

These are very unique looking! They look old. I wanted to ask about the tool at 13:27 -- it looks like a pair of jigsaw blades set in an awl handle? Do you use this to fine-tune the fit of handles?
@MakeNCreate
@MakeNCreate 2 жыл бұрын
Yup. That's the wrought iron for ya. It's called a broach and yes you got it right it's used for cutting the tang hole to shape. Great tool, makes life so much easier. Thanks mate :)

Your work is just awesome, congratulation, they are just pure beauty. Really, your style is really what i like from a knife !! Why the percloric acid gives a dark fnish on your hard metal you used for the edge ?? It's gorgeous, and the patern....is perfect

Excellent, inspiring videos, many thanks!! You seem to use the plumber'tape to make the tang removable from semi-cured epoxy insude the handle - am I right? Any tips here - is it semi-cured or hardened fulky, any risk to leave the tape inside? In other video you seemed to put some greece on tang instead - what do you use? Thank you!
@MakeNCreate
@MakeNCreate Жыл бұрын
Thank you sir! Correct. Any thick grease or wax will do. I used leather grease in this case I think but vaseline will very well too. I fish any remaining plumbers tape out with my handle broach.

@@MakeNCreate , Thank you for the detailed answer! My concern is how to ensure that remainders of greese dont create obstacle forn epoxy adhesion when one glues the tail in for final assembly.. What's your secret here, please? ) Thank you!!

I have a question. How thick do you grind the edge prior to sharpening with the whetstone?
@envarin888
@envarin888 2 жыл бұрын
don't quote me but i'd say get it nearly to the finished size during grinding. the whetstone (the coarse side mostly) can be used for really fine shaping, but it's mostly just for getting the cutting edge sharp.
@MakeNCreate
@MakeNCreate 2 жыл бұрын
Really just as thin as I can, bout' a millimeter or thinner. In the case of these knives though as I have to etch them to bring out the pattern I have to leave a little thickness so the acid doesn't eat away at the edge. In the future I'd like to have no secondary bevel and just have a full flat grind. Thank you.

My brass keeps separating from between my blocks, any advice?
@MakeNCreate
@MakeNCreate 2 жыл бұрын
Make sure that everything is flat so you get the best possible connection. Scratch up your surfaces too. I use the point of a small file for this. While it's not nice to use, acetone is a must in degreasing surfaces. If you're using hardwoods with a lot of sap or oil in the them this is especially important. Use good epoxy 24 hour epoxy, not 5 minute stuff, simply not as strong. I use ceccorps c-tough. Works great. And finally, don't grind it too hard as it will heat up very fast and the glue will simply melt. Hope this helps mate, best of luck!

SHLM & HaB (peace & love). The Name of the Creator is Hayah asher Hayah, as what He told Moshah (Exodus 3:14), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. There is a curse to the G-o-d name (Isaiah 65:11-12), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. All followers of the Messiah are to do the 7 appointed times (Leviticus 23), but no more animal sacrifices, following the Crucifixion of the Messiah. We are now of the order of MLK TSDQ (King, righteous), to Whom ABRaHM tithed. Ask the Messiah to be your personal Savior. He is the Atoning Offering for mankind for the remission of sin ( 1 John 2:2). He said to him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6). The Messiah died on the cross, & Resurrected three days later (presenting Himself as First Fruits to the Father). Please ask Him to be your Savior. He is the ONLY way to Everlasting Life. None is righteous. The penalty for sin is death. The Messiah paid the price for all mankind, and those who ask Him to be their Savior, are saved. That if you confess with your mouth the Master Yahushgh and believe in your heart that ALaHYM raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved (Romans 10:9).
