Watching all the videos of you and all the other makers traveling, makes me want to join you all but at the moment I'm working in the ICU Pediatric Cancer ward of a hospital and all the kids I work for need me every once in a while so it's hard for me to get out and do stuff outside of Gainesville, Fl. I've been all over the US, Mexico, Canada, central and south America as well as India, Asia, Greenland and the UK opening up help centers and homeless shelters for children, but that was all in my past and the furthest I've gone in the past few years was the five bicycle trips from Gainesville to Pensacola, Florida and back for the kids shelter I opened last October. I think that's the closest thing to an adventure I've had in years. It's close to a week of camping and bike riding each way, meeting up with people who see how packed up my bike is and stopping to ask where I'm headed and where I'm from, but doing the same four hundred miles ten times was getting boring so I'm not sure it counted as an adventure. Sorry for rambling on about me and the kids I care for but with all the posting we do on your KZfaq page, I feel like we owe you an explanation as to why it's been years and we still haven't met. I also wanted to say hi, tell you that the kids and I wish we were there to join you. The kids made me add this part but it goes for me too: "life is short, even if you live to be 110 years old you still won't have enough time to do it all so, have fun and enjoy every second of it." I was also (Ordered) to tell you to "keep going because the kids I take care of are living vicariously through you and pretending they're with you and all the other "Makers" during the trips all over to meet up with each other." and that goes for me too.

oh man. I recognized the road leading to that campsite. It's one of my favorite spots, been going there for 10 years now. Glad you guys were able to book it, it's gotten harder to reserve.

i didn't realize so many makers were introverts including myself. but since makers central i feel a lot more apart of the maker community and it helping me come out of my shell a bit, if i never make it to 1000 subs i will be happy just making the content i make and the good feeling i get from it.. i do hope to make it to maker fair bay area in the future

It really was an amazing weekend! Definite bucket list content for me. First time attending Maker Faire Bay Area AND I got to visit my dad's aircraft carrier (U.S.S. Hornet, docked in Alemeda.) I got to meet you, Simone and Adam. I'm going to remember this weekend for the rest of my life!!

What a crazy month. I wish I could have made it out there as well. Unfortunately, I'm not a full time creator. Hanging with you in UK will have to do for the foreseeable future. Unless you make it back with Triton for the IWF2018 or World Maker Faire, it will probably be next year. Getting to hang with Simone and Adam has got to be a trip. Super creative people.

Such a good weekend!

I had the same stance on Jetlag, though my first flight to Seattle I was already very tired as I didn't slept through the whole night before the flight, I couldn't profit from the Jetlag that way, I just slept until next morning and was quite immediately acommodated to the local day cycle. It's not really recommended to use that way to overcome Jetlag, though. Next time I flew there I was more relaxed, and when an event like this fair only is a weekend, you better book a longer stay, if you have the time, anything else is quite a waste of flight costs. So you can have a few days like that, shifted and slowly phasing in. I also had a week in NY on the way back - just a "little" other check on the bucket list. That also reduced the jetlag, it's easier to cope with from the east coast to Germany than from the west coast.

Glad you had fun here in SF again! I think you saw more of sunrise SF in a weekend than I have in a decade. Fair warning: if you come back another time, we may have to declare you an honorary Berlinerin (there’s a weird SF-Berlin hacker crossover, including a Mission burrito place in Berlin. Lord help you if you want good Currywurst in the Mission, though). I hope the jet lag on the way back wasn’t too rough, and am looking forward to the build video!

At the end of your video I noticed what looked like a small dot just below your lip that looks like it used to hold a lip piercing. If that's true why don't you wear it in your videos? Sorry for the comment on your appearance I know it's typical internet noise but my wife has a lip ring and I used to, but had to take it out for work and I miss it, so whenever I see other people with one it makes me happy....and I think it also ups your street cred ;-P
