Wait a minute, that Samuel engine is a Bullied Q1 class tender engine just like Neville and the Q1s were not built until 1942. So does this mean that this story and the events of Thomas the tank engine onwards take place in the 1940s onwards instead of the 1920s onwards?

I think it would take place between Thomas and the trucks and also Thomas and the breakdown train considering Thomas has been working in the yard for quite some time and he is learning the behavior of non-faceless trucks and coaches.
