A few years back I made a very simple but popular gift for my cousins wedding. They were coasters but made from chopped up logs of wood from our grandparents garden. It was very easy I just seasoned a log of choice for a few months, chopped them perfectly straight, sanded the faces and then applied danish oil followed by a water based varnish to protect it from heat and moisture. I even engraved some of them with their initials using a mate’s lazer machine. Leaving the bark on the sides makes them extra cool

Now, that’s a great idea. Summarizing your year of gift projects in one video is very nice. You’ve done a lot this year and those who want to see how you made any of them can go back and look at the whole instructional video. Brilliant.

I`m retired and have a small shop where I perform woodturning, create musical instruments, and some cabinetry. I have a shelf full of woodworking textbooks - but I found this woodworking guide, *TopFineWoodworking. Com* . The comprehensiveness of this book is surprising. It has decent coverage on every topic.?

This woodworking book *TopFineWoodworking. Com* contains a great deal of details about woodwork. There are some designs in the book but it is primarily explaining the procedure of how to do various things and what tools to use to accomplish them. In general, this book fulfilled my basic desire to learn about wood working.?

Have many reasons why but here’s two, the many things you taught us some from the old shop ( first videos) when you first did some of the projects and two or maybe this is 3 I gotta say it I love your Wedding Rings tradition very cool. I mean, I make a living woodworking and shit, I need a bad to the bone bandsaw, a laser cutter, a huge drum sander, comeon man. This is not practical for 90% of woodworkers. Awesome work don't get me wrong, mad skills, but not practical for the rest of us.

Hi Nicolae, I make videos for woodworkers. Woodworkers tend to have woodworking tools. That being said there are multiple ways to do things in woodworking even with cheap tools. I at least hope you found some inspiration.
