I've gotten a TON of questions about if spraying alcohol on powders can tend to dry them out over time and yes it can! It hasn't affected any powders that are more finely milled, but for ones that are harder pressed in the pan it has. You can use the Beauty So Clean spray if you are worried about your powders being affected :) This video is older now so I have learned this since then!

In regards to the facial rollers, I would stick to one's made of quartz or stainless steel! Unless you dropped bank on a jade roller, the cheap one's are likely made of serpentine (which can be disguised under other names like Xiuyan jade, new jade, Australian jade, Malaysian jade, or mountain jade) and are more porous thus trapping bacteria, where as jade/nephrite is scratch resistant, breakable, and will cool down quickly after skin contact. For geology/crystal nerds, serpentine sits between 2½ - 5½ on the Moh's hardness scale while quartz sits at 7 which is equal to steel. The higher the number the better!

Thanks so much for that info! I currently have a rose quartz roller but I have stopped doing the rollers within the past couple of years since this video.

I love your makeup kit. You keep it so simple. I have the same bag but I’m starting to work on hair more and now I need something bigger to fit my hair products. Any recommendations?
@julieruby4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! I always try to downsize when I can and keep things at a minimum just to I'm not breaking my back! For hair, I can link the one that I use for hair and makeup. It's not super light once all the products are in it, but it does hold quite a bit! You can always remove the top section if you're just doing hair for a few people which is nice :) www.amazon.com/AW-Rolling-Cosmetic-Stroage-15x11x25/dp/B00T5Z3KRG

You Don’t spray the cream lipsticks? Or did I miss it? Thank you! Very well Organized!👍🏻😃❤️
@julieruby Жыл бұрын
Hi! Spraying off any creams does not sanitize them! You have to scoop them out with a spatula, put them on a palette, and work off of there. This is with any creams - cream foundation, concealer, eyeliner, lipsticks, etc. I’m glad you found the video helpful!

Hi 👋 love this video, thank you! I’m beginner and I have questions - so do you spray your powder product after each person if you have many people in one day?
@julieruby2 жыл бұрын
So glad this helped you out! Please check out my updated video on this the one you watched is a couple years old now! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hqhnl6mCmK2bY5s.html Also, yes! All of these procedures must be done in between each person otherwise it defeats the point and you can spread bacteria even if the people are related to each other.

Hey how would you sanitise/ use water activated liners (from a pot) in a hygienic way on others? Like The Suva beauty/glisten cosmetics ones? Thanks!
@julieruby3 жыл бұрын
Great question! A rule of thumb for products is to not use any that you can't decant or scoop out and put on a palette (just to avoid double dipping). However, if you really cannot find an alterative to your favorite water activated liner, then you can spray the water on it and use your liner brush to mix it. Once you have enough liner activated, you can then kind of use the liner brush to put however much liner you need on a palette and work from there :)

hey love this was so helpful , if i have a cream product like the huda beauty cream bronzer how do i clean that and apply it to the client ?
@julieruby2 жыл бұрын
Hi Laura! This video is pretty old now so I made an updated one recently where I physically instructed on how to sanitize everything :) For any creams though, you can’t sanitize those! They have to be scooped out and depotted onto a palette. Here is the link to the video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hqhnl6mCmK2bY5s.html

Do i mix water with 70% isopropyl alcohol to sanitize my eyeshadow palette?
@julieruby Жыл бұрын
No I personally don’t mix it with water. 70% alcohol is already diluted since it’s not 100% so diluting it more isn’t necessary. You need the 70% to sanitize fully :)

Can retractable eyeliners be sanitized the same way? Or should you only have wooden pencils in your kit?
@julieruby3 жыл бұрын
Great question! Retractable eyeliners or lip liners can be sprayed down with alcohol but since they are creams ... you may have to make sure you wipe them down really well with a tissue before and after you spray!

Ever run into issues with the eyeshadow texture change/ruin after spraying them??

Yes with some powders if they are more hard pressed into the pan! However, you can use the Beauty So Clean spray to preserve your products :) This was an older video so I hadn't figured that out at the time! lol

Does spraying alcohol on the products change the product life?
@julieruby4 жыл бұрын
In my experience it does not change it! I have never had an issue with the longevity of the products or it drying products out. I even use alcohol for softer shadows like the Colourpop ones and it’s never dried those out either :)
