Hey everyone! Please don't mind my tired voice in this vid - I didn't realize how bored I sounded until I wached it back so sorry about that haha! Today's video was a popular request - especially from those of you who follow me on Instagram! If you've been wondering what exactly is the technique I use to apply my lipstick and lip glosses, then here you go! It's pretty easy to do once you get the hang of it and you don't really need the aid of lip liners or brushes. The key is to take your time and use short strokes - and viola - you'll achieve the perfect lipstick application! I'll be doing more of these "Makeup Basic" tutorials for those of you who are new to makeup - so let me know what other Basic techniques you'd like to see! THANK YOU SO MUCH. Every other video only had a liquid lipstick tutorial, or you needed a bunch of brushes and lipliner. This "make-up basics" tutorial is the only video I've found so far that is ACTUALLY make-up basics and good for beginners like me!! So thank you so much. My lips look great!

This vid is a lifesaver? Been searching to this kind of tutorials for months and I just found this today! Awesome vid! :D A question tho: I use Maybelline lipsticks and I have a trouble because after eating the lipstick would smudge below my lip line and it's a hassle to bring a makeup remover and buds (I stopped using wipes because I'm a cheapstake huhu) any alternative to fix it?

Thanks so much for this tutorial. One issue I have if there's no lipliner (so far I only wear lipstick at home because I don't feel comfortable with the way it looks): during the day or even an hour after applying the lipstick tends to seep into the little creases around the lips. I thought that's what lipliner was for? How come it doesn't happen to you? Or does it and you just reapply? Thanks again!

LOVE that you only use the lipstick. Working on being a lipstick person, but all these extra tips are overwhelming. MY ISSUE is that the wet-ish area where my lips touch looks very rough/streaky immediately after applying, even after exfoliating. ...Not sure what my problem is. :/

It might be the lipstick itself! Try a different brand! Usually high end lipsticks work better :)
