I don't know why everyone is surprised by this collection, Mario always seemed like a practical and old school professional MUA to me, so I feel like these products embody him and his brand very well

I skipped this whole collection, I guess with it being Mario I was expecting something different, and this just wasn't it. I love Mario and can't wait to see what he comes out with next.

The swatches of Mario’s metallic pallet actually reminded me of the ND metropolis pallet. Just me? Love you, Mel! ❤️

I accualy love the matte palette. I love the packaging. It is sturdy,and does not show finger prints. I like the size, as it is travel and purse friendly. I love the colors, love the formula. They blend better for me than the viseart mattes. In fact I put my viseart matte palette away, because this is replacing them for me. I use Wayne Goss brushes with the palette ,and my eye look turns out so good. I also own a number of Natasha Denona Palettes, and like these mattes much better. I also love the cream primer compact, it's perfect for me. I did not try any of the highlighters because that is not my thing. I also love that the shelf life is 2 years. I'm very happy with this product.

@@millslite2289 Yes, I do not understand the complaints about the packaging. I think it's clean, sleek, sturdy, nicely weighted etc. The matte palette is my personal perfect ,not to cool ,not to warm color scheme. I've bought so many matte neutral palettes, searching for just the right one, and I can say , I finally found it. I prefer a matte that applies soft ,and that I can build on. This one blends so well, and when combined with Wayne Goss brushes, it's a dream.

To me, it's a basic artists beginner palette and or one, MUA have to have, in kit, for all the different skin tones of models

Elaine Bines - honestly, not even that. If you are an MUA, it would be preferable to have products from Make Up Forever, Mac, Viseart, etc. More pigmentation and blendability so you can work efficiently. This line doesn’t seem like a pro line to me but more in the beginners level when you are afraid of pigment and don’t know what to do with it (like my mom, Lol).

Are you asking if the Sydney Grace shades from the Tiny Marvels palette can be depotted? If so, I do not recommend it. It is quite hard. Basically the dark brown shade at the bottom came broken in my palette. I worked with the SG team and told them I would try to depot the bottom shade so they could just resend that.. well they recommended using a very strong magnet. Well the shade itself is magnetic and basically kept just pulling the eyeshadow out and not the pan itself. I ended up using a tool that I have with my cricut machine to get it out. It was not easy at all. I do not recommend depotting as I truly believe you will end up breaking a lot of the shades to get them out.

@@ZgtGirl honestly, this was my first SG purchase and sadly haven't tried the formula yet. I will say the shade I was trying to depot seemed very pigmented as it kept getting all over me and was very deep lol. The color story, however, is stunning in my opinion. I do think they are true to what you are seeing online. I have seen nothing but good reviews on SG as far as quality goes, and their customer service is beyond kind and helpful. I know this probably wasn't as helpful as you would have liked. But I say if you like the color story, want to support Mel, and are financially able to purchase, I doubt you will be disappointed :)

The eye look is so beautiful. I can see that the formula is excellent with all of these palettes and the price is right but I don't think they will do well as they should marketing wise. Unfortunately most of us are drawn to the packaging and spend a fortune on how it looks aesthetically.

@@PinCushionQueen I own this set and the packaging has stayed very clean. No issues at all. I own many palettes including Viseart, Natasha Denona, Wayne Goss etc. Mario's palettes are my all time favorite. The mattes are so good, both colors and formula I like is better than the Viseart mattes.

Oooh that liquid metals palette reminds me of the Illamasqua Liquid Metal palette, but with different shades. Having Mario's along with the Illamasqua one would be such an awesome collection. Thank you for comparing the Master Mattes to the Viseart Neutrals palette, which is something I own and use in my kit. That was helpful in determining if I would want to purchase or pass on it.

I noticed you had black eye liner on your upper water line lash line before you started applying shadow. Why do that before the shadow? Is there a reason or method to applying the black eye liner to the upper lash line before the shadows as opposed to after?

Mel did u see Natasha Denona sharing about her new collection on her stories the other night??? She swatched the mini zendo and the lipsticks then put the LE highlighter all over her face. Uggghhhh that highlighter is so stinkin pretty plus beaming. The zendo palette is gorgeous as well. I can't wait to buy them myself! I also loved her thoughts behind them and what she was going for. She said she wanted to created another nude themed mini bv the 1st one was such a hit but it ended up turning into something more calm like zen vibes or tranquility. It was cool to see her giddy over her own creations.

I purchased the eye primer and the highlighting balm. I’m torn on the primer because the tones are perfect and I get the option to use the lighter or darker one, and I do appreciate the powder butttttt I do still crease. The highlighting balm is AMAZING! I 10/10 recommend.

I picked up some products from the new Mario collection. I love the eye base/primer compact it works great! The brush that goes with it again is amazing! I got the one of the eye glitters and it doesn’t give me that sparkly effect I thought it would. Now the face glow highlighter is so sticky on the face!! When I had it on my hair was down that day and my hair would literally stick to my face. I wore it for 4 hours and it never dried down. So I’m going to return those products. Now I’m still a huge fan of Mario and I can’t wait to see what he comes out with next!

I love your reviews. They always seem honest and I like that. The packaging seems way boring. It’s really about what’s inside, but my eye wouldn’t gravitate towards it. The pans are really small too. I’d buy something that had a combination of mattes and shimmers. I’m definitely not buying these products

Thanks for reviewing these. The matte palette is the one I was curious about. I thought it would be good for trips; it's a little cheaper than Viseart or Charlotte Tilbury, and I don't like to take my most expensive makeup with me when I fly.

I've been at your youtube channel for 4 months . so for from Southern Girl too another. I have learned new techniques on makeup. Love your honest reviews and professional opinion. You’re an artist as well and you know makeup so well. I think my expectations were too high also, so I ran out and bought so much of this collection. I think I should have waited. May be returning a few things.

I agree 100%. I got the metallic palette and its just ehhhh. Not bad , but nothing to run out and get. I think the more makeup I have, its becoming harder and harder to feel excited or WOWed by formulations. I am looking forward to those Pat Mcgrath quads coming out tomorrow though lol... I need BLITZ

Very fair and balanced review, I too have the CT, which was I think, limited edition, so will use that instead, I may though, pop the matts on my Xmas list👍

It's a very basic launch - which is fine - but not something most people don't have yet. A warm neutral matte palette, a very warm neutral leaning shimmer palette - nothing groundbreaking but I'm sure some people will like it.

HEY MEL!!!! FIRST OFF...I just wanted to let ya know that I just LOVE YOUR VIDS AND TRULY...RESPECT YOUR REVIEWS/OPINIONS ON PRODUCTS!! Cuz I ALWAYS KNOW THAT I CAN TRUST AND RELY ON YOUR OPINIONS TO ALWAYS BE TRUE/HONEST!! SOOO... THANK YOU FOR THAT!! I think that the toppers in Citrine and Bronzite (sp?) can’t have that grip if you want to use it on your face. It just doesn’t turn my head or catch my eye enough to purchase it.

Thank you for being honest, one of my other youtubers used it and the positives felt forced. Oh i love all of it, but won't use it everyday. Just say it's meh when you feel that way. I was very underwhelmed by this collection.

heyyyy lovie!!! how are you feeling??? you haven’t mentioned how you’ve been physically feeling in a bit, so i’m hoping that you’re feeling much better. i’ve been looking forward to this review from you. i always look forward to your reviews because i trust them completely. the highlighters are pretty. there are two that i really love. the master metals palette grabbed my attention the most. you are a vision!!! thank you for the tutorials and the reviews. i wish they would’ve sent you the white/silver highlighter that you were supposed to get, but i’m sure you’ll update us on it. 💜 ps... do you know when kitten will be back in stock???

I’m looking for a wet looking ultrafine eye topper. I felt the Fenty one was too dang chunky. I loved the wet look, but it has too much glitter for an old lady like me. Do you have a recommendation?

Mario just launched a new palette, I know you would love this one. I was thinking about you the other day because I saw you unexpectedly when googling picture of the old melt stack. I miss you so much these days, so many things have changes and i would love to know your opinion ❤

Thank you for the review. Still, I am most intrigued in that little 5 shadow palette with the mixing medium. I think that product is more in line with the innovation many were expecting 😉

You’re the perfect person to review this collection because you are such a talented artist! I wasn’t impressed with any of the shadows and it looked like the mattes were giving you a bit of a challenge. Maybe that was due to the brushes as well. The price is too overpriced, I agree. $29 CND for 1 brush is not happening. I will be skipping everything. I also expected more. You were eloquent and kind when giving your honest opinion. I think you hit the nail on the head when you said you weren’t feeling Mario in this collection- I feel exactly the same way!! Great eye look btw! 🤍

Honestly, I'm disappointed with the matts and the clear highlighter (which is stated to be non sticky - it is sticky ☹). Oh Mel, the 2nd look gave me "insect" vibes! I think it was when the pink shade got added to the inside lower lashline. Absolutely gorgeous, 😍😍

I agree with you, I was really expecting something like the collab he did with ABH & Kim K. I’m thinking maybe when makeup artists/influencers come out with their own makeup line, they are more “freer” to be totally themselves & put out only what they like as a makeup artist. So like maybe this line is maybe more him?? I’m just speculating lol. The mattes look nice, I’m actually surprised he came out with a palette like that for a launch. The packaging is surprising too....Kim K has a similar packaging, one-toned, so maybe they have very similar styles??? It can explain their close relationship & why he’s been her makeup artist for years. My two cents, & my short hair style is growing out too! I’m hoping for shoulder length 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 lol!

I returned the eye topper that I got from this collection. Didnt wow me at all. However I did keep the clear jellylike highlighter.

Will the activator run out before the metals pallet it all used! THE bottle looks small I bought 2 manipulator bottles bc I don’t want to run out of the bottle before the pallet Is done
