Today I'm sharing my thoughts on all of the products that have been on the chopping block! I have been putting these all to the test for a few weeks now & have decided some items don't need to come into 2023 with me! And what I'm not quite ready to part with!

Call the mascara an empty! Personally I accept that you can never ‘true pan’ a mascara like you can a powder product, so once they get difficult to use I call them done. The only time I would call one a declutter is if it’s still usable but I despise the formula 😂

Great video! I've had good success mixing liquid lipsticks together to create a custom shade. I've learned which ones work well combined so for instance I have one that's too light peach for my complexion and one that's much too dark and mauve. Combined they make a perfect nude for me. The key is to have both tubes open at the same time, apply one right after the other and press the lips together rapidly before they dry on.

I had the same problem with the CPop mascara. It actually arrived to me dry and I mentioned it to them and they sent me a new one that was maybe a tish better but not by much so it just must be that specific shade that’s off or something. No idea. But I would consider it an empty. I know I’ve seen a lot of people who use them until expiration and put them in their empties.

You could add your old eyeshadows in a clear nail polish and create a new shiny/glittery nailpolish.

Honestly I did not anticipate I'd keep the Galaxy palette before either but I feel like I'll miss it if I do declutter it 😭 and so that's a sign it's worth hanging around!

Like some others, I would consider the mascara an empty- its a hard one... but I always think of it this way... would I have "finished" the product if it didnt go bad on me.... would I have used it enough that I would consider it empty? if the answer is yes, I was attempting to pan it or use it up and then went bad then its an empty- but if I was just using it sporadically and it went bad and i got rid of it, I consider it a declutter.

For mascara, I would say it is empty when you can't use it. Get that number counted!!

On my powder stuff, I lightly spray it with alcohol to disinfect it because unless it breaks me out (even new products do that though lol) it’s free game 😂💀

I've been looking for a purple mascara and saw that that mascara had bad reviews. I would call it empty. You've used what you could.

I consider my mascaras empty only when i add duraline in them a few times and then reach to the point where i have to supplement them wwith a fresh mascara on my lashes. THEN they're out. So Im definitely not the person to answer regarding that CP mascara... 😅

Did your Merit highlighter smell like an old crayon? That's how mine smelt right at opening, but I haven't noticed progression I just can't really stand the smell 😫 I'm glad I'm not the only one that has said something now

Mine didn’t have any smell before but now it has a waxy/almond flour kind of smell. It’s weird and hard to describe but it’s concerning because it didn’t have that before lol. I’m surprised yours smelled like that right after opening it!

Re: Colourpop mascara. Yes it's an empty IMO. You used it to the fullest extent of your ability and the ability of the product. That is the standard you hold yourself to for empties so this is an empty.

@@RebeccaMorgan my native language isn’t English so I don’t know how to explain better my Dog’s name is Naboo so I’d have have to take a nyx product an Anastasia product so on and you have to use all of your products like this(example) 5 letters in the name 5 useges

With respect, the mascara is not an empty. Consider for example that you applied the same logic to the highlight stick. Sure you used both until they were no longer useable, they went bad and they should go. But are they empty?🤷‍♂️
