If I did the trick with the transition shade by putting it in the inner part of the eye and blending it down, would that be enough of an illusion to still do a smokey eye?

What haircuts work for wide set eyes? Specifically for a guy? I'm 'alternative' so am open to long and short hair. Currently I have curtains, but in a side parting, one longer side, one shorter, if that makes sense, but I'm wondering whether to get a fringe, hair forward and fringe to just above eye level, short back and sides, dyed silver or black. Any advice would be welcome.

so i cant do a smokey eye anymore?any alternatives? oh and as far as highlighting the inner corner i go more for a bronzey or gold shade over a white/bright shade,that helps.I also appreciate the basic look but what are glamour make up looks and bold make up looks for wide set eyes???

I realize this was 4 years ago, but I thought I'd answer anyway in case it helped. You can definitely still do a smokey eye, but if your eyes are wide set just make sure the darker areas don't go too far out. Make sure the darker areas are focused right above your eye and blend more towards your nose. Obviously you don't want super dark tones between your eye and the nose, just make sure it's not super bright in that area or else your eyes will look more wide set. Remember: brighter tones make an area look bigger and darker tones make an area look smaller. That's why darker mascaras and eyeliner make your eyes look bigger because it emphasizes whiteness of the eyes. If you follow that logic you should be able to make your eyes look as close or as far away as you'd like with any shade or style. Hope that helps

Im trying to get a Illusion of smaller face w/c is popular in korea, examples who dont technically have close set eyes bec its proportional to their eye length but part of why they have ridiculously small face standing next to other ppl: Jennie, Cha Eunwoo
