Pro advice: if you want to maintain a good battery health try not to discharge it below 20% and charge it only up to 90% (the best would be to use it between 30%-90%). Second important thing is not to charge overnight. You can trust me, I have iPhone 8 which is almost 3 years old and my battery health is at 96% 🙂

I’m still using iPhone SE 1st gen . First two years of use, i never used my phone while charging and I don’t drain my phone. I charge it around 20%. I maintained 100% Battery Health for two years. After that, I started to over use my phone like sometimes whole day of video streaming while on charge, using data too much, etc. now it went down to 83% , well not bad for 3years+ of usage.

The battery health is expected to drop significantly if the phone is used by power user on daily basis. If you spend lots of time during the day with your phone, SE is probably wont be suitable. I now think this is actually more suitable for younger kids, older people, who are using less time with their phones.

I’m from 5s to SE 2020. I really waited for it to come out, literally. Pros 1. Affordable (compared to other iphone models) 2. Fast 3. White is really pretty 4. Camera(amazing!!!) Cons 1. Battery life is bad. My battery life after 2 mos is at 96% already. I don’t use it as much as my iPad but if you are a heavy user. You’ll find yourself charging is 2-3 times per day. BUT!!! it also charges fasssst using fast charger like 15 mins around 70-85%. The phone is really slim and small without the case and it is running ios14 what can you expect. 2. Camera in low light is not that great. Sad that it doesn’t support night mode. For me who wants quality at an affordable price I would go for iphone SE. I am a big fan of how apple constantly makes software updates and support products longer than how android phones do. My 5s is working okay except for the battery and still receive updates till now. If you can afford the better iPhones then buy it but if you are budget conscious SE will be fine just include power bank in your purchase

I’m having the same problem with battery as I got it at the end of may and battery health is also 90%. Started seeing major drop also after iOS 14. Other than that it’s a great phone.

actually the main reason why your phone does not last after iOS 14 is not the update but the custom Home Screen

I have an iPhone SE 2020 and I think the battery is not that great bc it has the same battery as the iPhone 8 but with a much faster and power consuming chip so..... yeah it’s still a good phone though

Same as soon as I updated my iPhone 11 to IOS 14, the battery health went from 98% to 93% in just 3 months and I had my iPhone 11 for 10 months now

Ah. So my caution in not upgrading to iOS 14 may have paid off. The battery life is the thing of which I’m most conscious, and I don’t think any of the minor OS improvements are worth draining the already small battery even faster.

Hi, I also have iPhone SE 2020 (Black with 64GB). The only way to save the battery life is one. You have to drop to 30%, then you have to charge it to 70%. This is the only way. For example, I bought my SE 2k20 in the beggining of June and before 2 days the battery life is at 96% now and my iPhone is with iOS 14.4. This is my advice to you. 😎
