Gav and Dill attempt to make a VR180 series for ‪@MetaQuestVR‬ with all slow mo footage displayed in 3D. Watch as they overcome many challenges... mostly caused by themselves.
Catch each episode for free on the Quest in Oculus TV, and “save to VR” from the link on Go and Gear VR.

People seem to be shocked by windows running on my MacBook. It’s just running parallels. Something you’ve been able to do for over a decade on macs. The phantom software only runs on windows and running it on my MacBook is a lot cheaper than buying a dedicated windows laptop just for running phantom software.

I Can see why some might be questioning it, Virtualisation isnt exactly the best for performance. :P I, having used Macs for years with VMware and Bootcamp and native UEFI dual boot, can tell you, you'd be better off with Bootcamp, or even better, using Native UEFI Booting of Windows on a second partition. The performance is much better as you dont have the overheads of running in a VM. The basic Dualboot setup is to use bootcamp, which runs windows Natively on the Hardware but boots the system using a Bios Compatibility Module, depending on the hardware in the mac, this may or may not be needed for dual boot to work properly. The more advanced method is to not use bootcamp at all, and to do a totally manual but fully UEFI Native install of Windows. If the hardware works properly under this mode and apple has the required drivers, then its the better option, but it can be hit or miss, so you'd need to test it.

I'm a civil engineer and do a little bit of surveying once in a while. When surveying, I used to think that we had a lot of crap to set up which includes two tripods, a survey base station, radio transmitter and antenna, then the two rovers in a two person team to collect topographic data. I can model the topography of an entire town with the data I collect, but it can't even hold a candle to what you have to do to set up and make a 3D video... I've been watching your stuff for several years and I hope you never stop.

its called boot camp. Lots of people use it as there are somethings you need that are windows only but you primarily use Ios. So you can just run a virtual windows copy to access those programs. Pretty handy actually.

@@RnBoy15 guess you have never heard of hackintoshs with dual boots lol. Or just owning both to use as needed. ex i have a macbook and a gaming desktop. Before I got a good deal on a macbook I was looking into building a hackintosh so I could use mac OS and windows on the same system.

zazuch Ofcourse i heard of hackintosh on linus or wherever, but nobody i know owns one. Everybody I ever saw who owns a PC, doesnt have a Mac in any form. Contrary, the people who try to use a mac seriously, half of the people i know also has Windows installed. It almost looks like one software is more useful than the other facebook machine.

Yeah, it's not available for the Rift, let alone other VR headsets like the Vive or Index on SteamVR or Window Mixed Reality, or really anything other than Oculus' standalone mobile VR offerings, which aren't exactly spectacular.

@9:45 ...and moon launch in.... LOL!! That bit with Dan and the ice reminds me so much of winter mornings at the ranch I grew up on--cast iron bathtubs were the horse watering troughs, and in the morning, we got to break out as much ice as possible so the horses could drink. Ice sheets shatter SO well. :)

I'm curious about that 3D rig and the framesync cable. Does the frame-sync allow you to set an offset in the framerate between cameras? If so, you could use the mirror to align the lenses on a single subject (without parallax), then use the frame-sync cable so that each camera is capturing an alternate frame. You'd effectively double your shutter speed without having to fight as hard for light.
@TwoScoopsofDestroyer

Except the Mirror halves the amount of light available to each camera.
