You sir, are a Master goldsmith:) you are keeping this art and ancient tradition alive in a time of technology and machinery. Im so glad you have chosen to continue the art of making by hand and hope you never change. You are creating masterpieces that will be passed down generations and have a higher value and meaning behind them. Compared to mass produced jewelry, work by hand is by far more sentimental and more appreciated. Again, not that there is anything wrong with machine made jewelry. It just doesnt compare. Thank you so much for all you do. You are growing bigger everyday and will soon have and already do gave so many admirers of your work.

@@undercovercameras yes, exactly. I could watch my father and grandfather for hours working with their hands. it amazed me and still does, to see how they could move metal and lengthen it or change its shape completely just by a blow of a hammer.

It’s called a marathon hand machine and you can buy the diamond cutting tools separate. The machine is not expensive. We bought ours from eBay :)

You should put on screen text, or verbally, explaining what exactly you’re doing and what you’re using. For example, I’m curious as to why after you get the shape, why heat it up again and then stick it under the water? To get out any impurities? Also, what were you using after that step, and soap stone? Awesome videos! I’ve watched 6 so far, and still going!

for a real 24ct piece you would actually have to weld it not use any solder. especially no 60%au 40%cu/ag/zn solder as explained in the mentioned video.

welding with fine gold is relatively easy just by melting a very tiny area with a hot burner with no reducing atmosphere needed, but it requires a bit of finesse and filing to clean up the joint.
