Please tell me you signed your work! This is very important to the history and enjoyment of your masterpiece. Future generations who might inherit that beautiful work would love to have the origin marked on the side. Any maker should always sign and date their work. At least consider for future pieces putting engraved brass plates on them. That sold for a quite a bit of money and is worth that extra effort.

My school had some Oliver machines from the 1930’s. That old stuff was built to outlast the building that housed it.

I love how to soft slightly matte finish really makes the black walnut pop. I also love the authenticity of the students names on the back.

Back in my day, it was mostly greybeards who seemingly did this level of woodworking artistry. They were in all the woodworking magazines and I wished to be like them. Now thanks to the internet, I can see all the talented young folks create and I wish to be like you youngsters. Lol!
